Zone Development & Applications
 

In the coming weeks there will be a lot of great new development on Zone - but I can't do it alone. That's where you come into the picture.

Applications are now open, but in the next few days I'm going to begin accepting applications for development on Zone - this will include areas such as Graphics, Scripting, Ganis, Sound, and Levels.

So if you think you're up for the task start preparing your applications. I want to know your experience and I want to see some of your best examples.

Graphics - If you do graphics, send me some examples either as screen shots or the graphic files. I'm looking for experienced people - texture, lighting, depth of field, all of those lovely things that makes up lovely things.
Script - Describe how your script works, maybe include some screen shots. I do not want to see the code, I don't swing from branches of text :)
Ganis - Describe them, don't send me the gani files. Tell me where I can go to view examples, maybe include some screen shots (probably won't do your animation justice).
Sounds - Include some, I'm looking for really high quality sounds and I'm as picky as a wasp, so make sure to show your best.
Levels - Send me some screen shots, tell me where I can see examples, but do not send me level files.

If all else fails, send me some videos of your work on youtube. But let me remind you - applications aren't open yet, I just want you to get ready. If you know someone you think would fit the spot let them know so they can get ready.

Zone is a gold server, it is somewhat expected from you to be somewhat superior in the field you apply being able to do everything

It is indeed an intent of mine to hire the best in their field, but I am also hiring new players so that they may learn from the more experienced - everyone has to start somewhere, amirite?
The thread was initially designed to alart interested candidates, and then slightly modified later to announce applications were being taken. It's safe to assume the more recent thread, which clearly states applications are being taken, is more accurate.

Perhaps Aeko is curious as to the future updates. Personally, if I was a developer of any kind I wouldn't even bother putting any time into Zone if there are no-plans to fix core problems. Zone doesn't need any new content for a while, there are a lot of obvious major problems that need to be solved. Like 8/10 weapons being useless on Zone is a bit of a problem, I dunno..

A thread for the future plans of the new manager would be very sexy :).

If this is your first try, nice job. But to be honest, you are very far from the what the expectations should be. Perhaps open up some other weapons and zoom in mega on the pixels. Look at how previous artists designed their weapons.

Although, Zone also has no use for new weapons ;P.
