Disconnected on Zodiac?!

Lately (started yesterday), I've been experiencing horrible lag/disconnection problems. No clue what could've started this or what is causing it, but it only seems to happen on Zodiac.

I will be playing fine then all of the sudden everyone freezes, except me.. Then after 5 minutes of roaming around clueless I get disconnected, strange **** man.

Anyone have a cure for the sickness? Or anything that will help me out?

Using UDP? I've experienced this using that, but earlier a script went haywire and was disconnecting people, was funny but I don't that's the problem.

So you're sure it doesn't happen on Era?

Try pinging, 208.43.167.233

and let us know the results.

I uncheck UDP.

Those pings seem pretty high, you might want to try restarting your modem and/or router.

Less than a millisecond is high? I thought that was extremely(and impossibly) fast, unless I'm reading that wrong.

The readings look quite off but the total ends up being 4000 ms, so 800ms average, aka satellite/high ping.

I just reformatted my PC.. and reset my cable box.

Any other ideas? Again, this is only happening on Zodiac.

You haven't got any torrent clients open or anything like that have you?

I've had this problem in the past, for Zodiac, and Era. Couldn't find the problem, but at least it's temporary. I usually was able to log back in a day or two later.

Nope, not at all.

On a sidenote, I actually had my connection firewalled, but then I took off the firewall and it didn't seem to help.

I guess I'm just going to give it a day or two like Matt said, and see if that does the trick.

I'd also try going into your Router and Release and Renew your IP Address, just for the heck of it. If you can't find it in your settings, do Start>Run>CMD, then type ipconfig /release then in ipconfig /renew.

Imperialistic 12-11-2009 04:26 PM

Don't have a router.

It'll do the same thing if you just have a modem.

Imperialistic 12-11-2009 08:05 PM

I tried renewing my IP, but it keeps giving me the same one. zzz

Looks like you got this fixed, Imperialistic? I saw you earlier on, not sure though.
