https://help.ubuntu.com/7.04/keeping...C/updates.html

It's not the same version but I'd imagine it still applies, you seem new to Linux so Good luck.

Eh, I got the same problem with glibc (I run Debian, which is basically the same as Ubuntu). Even though it's installed the graal-installer won't find the lib. I have the latest possible version of glibc...

I 've gotten it to work before on previous computers, but I don't remember how.

I've done many reinstalls of my Ubuntu and have no problems with installing Graal. Judging that it's a new installation of 9.04 it should be working without any problems.

Edit: Didn't notice he was using 9.10. In the interest of testing I will download 9.10 and install it on another partition so I can still boot 9.04 if I need to.

I will install it tomorrow on my old hard drive so I don't break my partitions and to prevent loss of data on my normal hard drive.

Are you using 32-bit or 64-bit and having the problem?

If you are trying to install it onto a 64-bit system, you might get some errors if there is no good 32-bit version of glibc installed also (because the Linux client is currently 32-bit, it requires its dependencies to also be 32-bit).

Umat 10-07-2009 02:40 AM

He's running 32-bit. I've already gone through the glibc stuff with him. I had the same issue on debian. I got it to work. When I tried to replicate it by telling him to the exact same stuff, it still didn't work. :/
