Halloween Updates
 
I was wondering about the Halloween updates this year.
On Items and Events.
What has the GK team come up with this year?
Or are they the same things as last year?

You know we don't release that sort of information before the event! You're welcome to make some suggestions of stuff you'd like to see in addition to what is planned though.

A release of the first ever proper quest on GK. Halloween/Horror related. Including new dungeon of nightmarish creeps to kill - not just when doing the quest. Blood sabre new-gfx release & stat change. Blood sabre released as craftable weapon (items to make drop from new dungeon & should take a while to get them). I'd also like to see blood sabre degrade w/o sufficient player killing done by the wielder ;). Very rare drop introduced for the campers.

Quest should be the focal point. It should be a well thought out storyline, lots of tasks and i'd prefer it to be a very hard quest.

Everytime a dungeon where open (easter or helloween) almost the wohle server was there!, so im sure the players are "hungry" to get a dungeon!

thats just missing on gk..dungeons ,bosses, rare drops

Kvanir's dagger & sceptre of darkness (?) are our only rare drops, but the dungeon was shut...

I think definately dungeons that are open all year round are needed. Really thought that crypt would be the first of many (the later ones being on a bigger scale ). Would even prefer if crypt was released again, that it would be linked to a quest, so initially, to access it, players need to do some odd-jobs here and there, and then when they get to the bit where they need to kill kvanir, from then on, they're granted full access of the instance - This would also stop literally fresh & new players being fast levelled. Quest should have requirements too.

Time consuming difficult, even puzzle or riddle solving quests can keep players online and occupied for a long time.

I agree with Tig, It isn't fun to know whats coming already.. It wouldn't be a suprise anymore then.. :o

And about the dungeons which come every year (Just read that) shouldn't come this year i think.. Get something new uh?

I'm not sure who supported it most - Tig or myself... but our development has ALWAYS been as secretive as possible.

The sort of "splash" of a update is always very fun, especially if you have positively no clue what's coming; there's a real sense of adventure.

... We need new dungeons, what other update will keep the majority occupied all year round?

He's suggesting something more effective than dungeons, but as is the age-old tradition in these parts (and frequently in life)... he doesn't actually suggest anything to replace dungeons. Kind of an anti-suggestion.

I liked the whole pumpkin mask story thing. Should totally be made into a quest.

Anything new would be nice. Would also be nice if there were some monster events where exp could be gained... kinda like the giant Easter eggs. Gaining exp on important stats has been tight lately. ^^
