Graalshop problem

Yeah, I've ganied some for about a year now. Since i changed my GFX card from an ATI Raedon (not sure of the number) to a Nvidia GeForce 8400 i believe the graalshop program is now pretty damn choppy and slow in every way as in of loading files to dragging sprites out.

If someone can PLEASE help me out that would be great.

Please feel free to give any suggestions.

I have a similar graphics card with no problems. Can you post your computer specs (OS (64-bit?), CPU, RAM, etc)

Fulg0reSama 10-11-2009 09:50 AM

I can try.

It's a 32 bit Windows XP(It was a the original XP from 2000) Service Pack 3 Dell made in about 2003 i think, CPU i am not sure. My Ram is about 1 gig of ram. Anything else? I cant remember how to check CPU. is it through dxdiag?

Hmm, you could try running GraalShop in compatibility mode with Windows 98 and see if that helps; to do that, just right click GraalShop.exe and go to Properties. After that, go to the Compatibility tab. Rest is self explanatory from there.

Didn't work Tig. Any other ideas? Infact when i tried that (and every other option) it made it slightly worse.

Did you uninstall your old video card drivers before you installed the new ones?

Best course of action would be uninstalling all video card drivers, then installing the latest ones from the Nvidia site.

Fulg0reSama 10-12-2009 07:07 AM

Already did that.

I'm assuming you tried a simple Uninstall/Re-Install of GraalShop via the Login start menu?

Pelikano 10-15-2009 01:47 PM

Nvidia ftw!!

Fulg0reSama 10-15-2009 03:57 PM

I tried that on 3 seperate reformats Matt. Thanks but it never worked in like 100 tries.

and Nvidia FTL in this situation. Im believing its a matter of my GFX card being slightly bad or something because it has failed on its drivers before n **** after a while and i got a feeling that the damage has been done there.

When you install a new graphics card you're suppose to go into safe mode and uninstall those graphics drivers BEFORE you put you're new graphics card in the slot. Then reboot normally and it should auto-install standard graphics drivers till you download the new ones. I think the problem could be a memory problem and not necessarily a graphics problem..

Fulg0reSama 01-09-2010 05:23 PM

Well I dont believe so or I would be dealing with bigger problems wouldn't I?

You need more ram..
