Mining needs to be much more profitable if its going to rival farming again

The thing is, such an axe will make farming more profitable in the long run. I mean, you can mine enough arc for about 60 gralat, and then you have to buy a new one. So for all that work, you made a whopping 10 g. Indestructible axe? You bet I'll be getting it.

Got my axe.. NEVER BREAKS.. you realize that mining was nearly not worth it before because every time you made profit you had to buy another axe using nearly all the profit you made? Well now all you have to do is pay 5g for a bomb and you keep all you make. So if you wanna pay the price, and you wanna work for it, you will get more out of mining then other people. :) That's why I made it, because I was tired of my axe breaking but heck, you don't just give out free unbreakable axes.. who the heck would buy a gold or metal axe then.. yeah just picture that:

"Metal Axe - 20, Gold Axe - 50, Unbreakable Diamond Axe - 80"

I agree completely. Kind of steep, yeah, but worth it in the long run.

On the other hand though, a little lower of a price --- say, 300 g --- would have made it a little easier to swallow.

I still don't think that mining is going to rival faming. One reason is because the patience involved in mining is amazing. You have to stay at your rovcks and smash them and risk someone else taking them. Then you go back and start crafting them and finally make them into cash.

With farming, you spend a good 50 min (if your smart you can hold up to 4 trees) :) and then you can make pies at your own leisure. So in about 1 hours time, you can make about 100 g with farming and 70 g with mining

Diamond Axe...that item was very expensive on my old playerworld project...you didn't need any ore tho. You bought it from a dwarf far into the mountain. :)

even though i have over 3K i will not blow 500g on an axe...thats just retarded...

By the time you re-pay the 500g you used to buy the axe, you'll be sick of mining and quit it

na you can earn 500 in like 2-3 hours at the most...

how money money do you get for crafting a gold Gralat

You get 15 I think, but it's more economical if you go for red gralats (10)
