just do seteffect 0,0,0,1;
and then you wanna do a light effect in each area...
oooo u gave me idea.. u could make like a gif of the light2 png file but triangle looking .. then u do showimg and changeimgcolors and then it could be like a flashlight ;D!

In that case you could use a level filling gif drawn with transparency around the player, or mess around with the board array.

Maybe theres some way to set a backpal for a certain area usin arrays.....

I never did say they were good solutions, the only reason they might be seen as being good is that they're are the only solutions for a non-P2P server.

well sir, im doing the best I can to make the BEST free PW out there. I know once Omega Faheria, Mursamune, and those p2p's are up I will be nothing but me and my team work very hard because I believe graal needs atleast 1 good free server and thats what im working towards

The torch is too dim. My screen makes the dark areas too dark and most of the time I have DX7 disabled. A bright light needs to be added, and maybe it should require lamp oil (10G for three REAL hours of light)

Alexandria would be one of the leetest non-P2P servers out ther eif it wasnt going so slow ^_^
