Playerhouse resets?!

Apparently, something happened with Genmo's house, and now all of the gralats in his house are gone. Wtf?! I only had 144 g in there, but it still pisses me off --- and I wasn't the only one! Genmo supposedly lost over a thousand, as did other tenants.

Mind giving us an explanation, Stefan?

Torankusu 09-10-2001 12:49 AM

Gralats just don't "disappear", so genmo, knowing him, most likely took them.

Xythar 09-10-2001 12:52 AM

Yeah, there's a nice gold gralat in the middle of his room --- I'd love to know how much cash he's got stored in there.

And, I couldn't help but notice that my playerhouse key mysteriously dissapeared just before the accident.

Lugie's house resets alot, but no gralats ever disappear OR keys.. just the room owners reset.

Xythar 09-10-2001 12:54 AM

Actually, he's only got 198 on there, when there's normally over 2k... And he isn't carrying any, so unless he's stored them in a different house.... :(

Now I don't know what to think.

Most of those apartments use this.strings to store owners, so when the NPC server resets, all the variables do to...

Yep. :(

Genmo's room-script is almost the same as Lugie's.

They both got them from Er1c.

Hmm, If I knew the string which defines which player has a key, I could make apartments for the players with keys...that way, it won't reset when the NPC server resets, and you only need to change 1 thing at each time.

I had Krakkens script for my playerhouse when i had one..

They worked very good.

Is it not possible that a staff member got into the rooms using Warpto? I've seen Zorro do it to get to his rooms quickly.... What's stopping any of the corrupt staff?

last night when the PH system was upgraded all gralats in the houses went poof i think

The NPCs prevent people who don't have keys to be kicked out of the house when they enter the level.

I have visited all houses with personal rooms,
only in genmos house i found something and
saved it (by taking it), there were 144 gralats but
there was no accountname for the owner name
(U_WERE_EVICTED or so) so I couldn't put it on
the account yet.

Don't rent rooms from people selling them for like 20 a week.. obviously 20x10 isn't enough to pay for the rent on the house so they probably just wanna rip you off, take your money, and abandon the house.

If the owner doesn't pay for the house, the house is reset.. money is gone, and a new player gets the house.. My suggestion for room owners.. Every Saturday morning, GET THE MONEY OUT OF YOUR ROOM :)

psihunter 09-10-2001 08:23 AM

I collect the rent from people living at my house on wednesday

Genmo_2001 09-10-2001 10:15 AM

i didnt take money

notice how the gold gralat in my room is only like 100 something. i wouldnt take money. ask Stefan for proof =/

Why the hell was I evicted, Genmo? I paid rent every monday!

So in other words Stefan, there's no way for me to get my gralat back. Great.
