I really liked the old one.
Although if the newer one were to just move the arrow and not the entire table of hats, that would be cool too.

I liked the old one, but I guess the circle would be quite crowded if you own all of the hats.

Once you have like 25 hats it's too crowded to see them all so the circle shoudl expand

well why not hide the selection of hats by showing only 10 hats at a time.
Instead of a circle...make it a spiral, where the hats are shown in somewhat of a circle, only they spiral in and out of the circle instead of rotate.

ack, the one before was better...this one is too simple to make >.<

Like I said before...
The ring menu looked a lot cooler, and to deal with all the different hats, it should have multiple layers, like one option will open a ring with all the free hats, or all the cowboy hats, or all the knight hats...

It would be easy to make an expandable one. Just have them fit in a perfect circle, like in Secret of Mana/Evermore.

I prefer the new one.

Well , it all depends if it still says the person showing you his hats has 2 of every hat when he shows you them.

The ring is 100 times better!

It should just get bigger as you obtain more hats!

really? It seems likes it'd just be var%inarow for x position and int(var/inacolumn) for y, then just position them all and keep a counter of the one the player has selected. But...I only have 4 hats, so I guess I haven't seen much from the new hat menu anyway.

i havent seen the new one so dont go sayin thats the new one or anything like that
i think it should be done like a spiral that has them all like this

where it is smaller imgs of the hats so it doesnt look too crowded and the arrow would remain pointing north (arrow isnt really needed) and the hat at the very top point (see arrow 2) and that hat is made into a biggger img than the rest so it stands out more
it shouldnt be too hard to program
so mainly it would go round in the old circle with all the hats being smaller imgs with the hat that is selected being bigger than the rest so it stands out

anyone like that idea?

Although I find the new one easier to select the hats I want, I did like the circle one better. It all depends on what you like, easy access or looks, but I say I like the new one a little better than the old one

I think it should look like this. Go back to the circle one except just show the currently selcted hat and the hats too the left and right of it. And hide all the other hats.

Ah, fun, like a spiral.

I think I suggested a spiral instead of a normal circle in this topic :(
