New tileset, need input

Tell me what you like/don't like about the tileset so far. All ideas for any changes will be listened to carefully. It's in gif form to fit the attachment but the colors are a bit off and some of the detail is too blended in because of it =/

Do you like the tree? Should I change the trunk/leaves? Baskets? Chairs? Tell me what needs changing or tell me which tiles I should make next =)

hrmm... change the trunk of the tree a bit.... also, it'll take a bit of work, but make the grass a ickle bit different too. :)

do everything in your style, don't change exsiting tiles just a little, take one tile, put it in a place, and than try to copy it in your style, (very nice nice) and than put it in there rather than editing exsisting ones, it will help make the set look more uniform

Be really careful with the trees, they need to tile well, by which I mean like the forests where there's no trunks and the treetops are just next to each other.

The trees should have leafs of different
color to make it look more detailed.

I think a complete different look is not
easy but you are doing it with a promising
strategy: emphasizing different parts
of the objects,
e.g. the door of your new house style
is much more emphasized than the house
roof which has been the main part of the
zelda houses, so it is making your new house
look more unique

Are you still working on the tiles?
We could already use the new house tiles

I like the sign he has, it's better than the one with the face :)

konidias 08-30-2001 04:02 AM

Yeah I'm working on them a little each day.. I will post the tileset that I have so far later today I guess.. Just wanna touch up a few more things and then you can use what I have so far for whatever you need. =)

Whoops not ready yet! :)

I have added a few new tiles (mushrooms, stones, plant baskets) I also adjusted the tree a bit and I'm considering making a new trunk for it. Once I get about 15 more tiles done, I will put up the pic1 image. ;)

Heres a updated screenshot using a few more new tiles:

WOO!!!! Now then, please just let me know:

Is this going to replace the tileset that is used currently in 2k1?
I would really really love that.

Oh yeah, It's really nice looking, Kon!
;)

Yes no problem, I will also need to finally
use your stuff and answer other posts here
(often don't have time to do stuff and so
things get forgetten like birdbirds nice ship graphics)

Nice tiles, I like the mushrooms. The tree is nice too
(only need to be tested and may be slightly edited when
it is connected). The street borders should use more than
one tile, the original street border uses 4 tiles
which look almost the same but are shiften by
one or two pixels which make it less repetitive.
