I wouldn't try it because it's a mean thing and it's distracting them from their fishing fun.
But I've seen people get jailed for attacking fishers, miners, etc.

So it is illegal? Try telling that to Spi, who attacked me three times as I fished, and Brian (FAQ) who laughed when he saw it and said it wasn't illegal.

Hell... stupid rules like that shouldn't exist...
The attack option was given for more reasons then sparring...
Also, what if you attack someone, then after you hit him a few times, he start fishing, and then reports you, thats stupid.

But it wasn't like that. I was reeling in a fish and was about to grab it when Spi shot with me a fireball. And it isn't fair for that to happen.

I see your point. People can either pause and wait for the person to stop attacking them, or they can risk the chances of being hopelessly slaughtered by a PK.

You can always move to a different spot.. that's one of the things that ticks me is when there's like 5 people all fishing in one spot, and then one bratty little fella comes in going "HEY I WAS FISHING HERE ALL OF YOU GET OUT THIS IS MY SPOT!".. gaahh.. then they start trying to pick fights and eveyone laughs at him and he runs in a corner and like cries... err.. well maybe that was exagerating a bit, none of that last stuff happens but y'get the point.. :p

It's hard to move to a different spot when the antagonist follows you. Not only that, but if you're down to one heart, and you're carrying a lot of money, it's not fun to risk the PK'ers.

I jail very few people that attack me unless I am trying to do something import like get to a trade and they follow me around and attack me. Other wise I dont jail people for attacking me.
