I think he means custom tiles... Isn't that explained in the Level Making FAQ sticky? If not, it should be...

I thoroughly explained addtiledef and addtiledef2, so yes it's explained.

Why do the posts on the left wall sort of go up into the roof, kind of shrinking?

I attached how they used to look. Unfortunatly this graphics are copyrighted. :(

That's something I have trouble with. I think you should make a whole new thread on House making or something if your good at it.

on the subject of alien tiles...

1) they do have a purpose, try playing graal:the adventure then going to the museum...

2) i think they look okay as skylights on the outside of a house

What the hell? This hasn't been posted in for 3 months, don't revive old threads.

LegendaryAzreil 10-06-2003 06:39 AM

XD
Some people dont know. Newbies to the forums.
We should welcome them. ;)

SingleChance 10-06-2003 08:05 AM

well it's not so bad really. This thread is useful to help level makers it should stay at the top for people to read

draygin 10-06-2003 04:56 PM

It should stay at the top which is why there is a sticky with a link to it. But I think it should be closed as the thread is really old and if some one wanted to comment they could make a new thread. No need to revive old threads like this. This one is really old that people just keep reviving over and over.

Don't Be Afraid!

If your someone who's good at both levels and Graphics dont be afraid to add gfx to your levels that make Unseemingly Tiles fit togther! Also Dont be afraid to add hills trees and flowers. (Staionary only use moving if neccessary they cause lag)
Sometimes little ponds work too. When your editing levels the whole point is to havefun and try to make the things you imagine come out. I've also realized that when you practice gfx they can make your level designing skills sky rocket!

haunter 01-12-2004 12:05 AM

Hey guys, this thread is here for a reason. If you have a good tip, don't be afraid to resurrect this thread. :) I don't mind.
