Alright so Gori and I decide to do a new level tutorial.
Please do not post till all 8 images are posted.

Tutorial 1:
Added a basic outline, nice mountain and part of a sea to get some water in
the level.
Keeping it simple at start.

Very Good Spanky and Gori :). What else would I expect from two great level makers like yourselves ;).

It's quite a nice tutorial, but then, it's only a level, and there's nothing spectacular about a normal outside level. You have rocks, bushes, paths, trees.... I mean anyone can do that given the practice. What Graal really needs, is a good tutorial on how to make towns and villages. Since that's where most people really screw up. They either creative insane houses that make no sense and barely look like houses, or they use ugly pathways like carpet tiles and stuff... I wanna see a nice town level where the paths aren't all crazy and they aren't all perfectly straight... just a good town level.

Its not much of a 'tutorial' to 'tutor' someone. Its more of a step-by-step ''look how I did it''

It doesn't actually help the people know where the tiles are. Most people wont find half of them tiles, or know what to do with them. For starters the first level, to beginners would be hard enough as it is to make it work.

Key word to tutorial tutorial It's a good tutorial as in it gives them a break down step by step on what sort of patterns and ways of doing it. It would be nice if it also had a section of things you dont do when making a level etc.. but for some one who wants to try to make an outside level its really good. I might try to make a level going off this tutorial and see how it turns out. ;) As for a town tutorial. I might do that when I get some free time it shouldn't be to hard. Most people's problem is color scheme. They dont have any theme's they do one type of house then another bright colors dark colors. They need to use colored tiles that are at least similar. Either all sorta dark tiles or all bright tiles etc..

Using the tutorial seems to work ok if you follow the examples. Pretty easy for newbies to follow. Here is my attempt. I could do better if I took the time but about the time I started finishing up on the water I became incredibly bored. ;)
