Introduction

Europa is a medieval themed server, having it's main drive revolve around PKing, competitive events and its item based economy. After the two kingdoms (Western and Eastern) are introduced, there will be regular nation wars, Kingdom/Guild PK events and world PKing against the opposing kingdom. From all these events you gain 'Honor' points, these points will be the currency on the server, and allow you to buy decorative items (Hats, Light effect Auras, shields, etc.), gain higher ranks within your kingdom, and many more - without necessarily giving an unfair advantage over the newer players.

The PK mechanics will purely be classic style. With the option of purchasing battle mounts, temporary enhancements, and basic NPC weapons to create variety in gameplay.

---Storyline---

Europa: Chapter 1. Rebirth

You are resurrected from your grave by the Godess of Europa, Epa herself. But with no memories left of your past life whatsoever. You once were the greatest leader Europa had ever seen. Many centuries ago, you brought peace and unity to the lands of Europa. However, after your death Europa went downhill. Noone could ever truly take your place, chaos started to emerge. The Lands Europa had been divided into the Eastern and Western Kingdom of Europa, both having an opposing ideology.

-The Western Kingdom consist of a very wealthy community and beholds a well trained, loyal army of soldiers.
-The Eastern Kingdom consist of many discliplined wise men who are very close to nature. And behold disciplined and dexterous samurais.

You are now given one more chance to restore the distress and bring peace, unity and order to the Kingdom of Europa once more. But, which kingdom will you choose to be part of, in order to work your way up to leadership?

It is then your duty to lead your Kingdom to its former glory.


Hiring Requirements

---General---

Since I'm very dedicated to this project, and I'm very determined to reach my goal of providing a fun, challenging, engaging enviroment for players to really enjoy their time on Graal, without feeling overwhelmed about all there is to do, to feel sickened by the hours of grinding just to play the game in a fair way against others, or to be bored to death by it's repetitiveness. - I find it very important to build a cohesive, focused groups mentality with a common vision. Everyone having an opportunity to influence their ideas into the project.

This would more likely require a solid team of long-term dedicated developers who are passionate about what they do, rather than an overfull, scattered and obligative staff team.

Making this both a fun, experimental, challenging and educative platform for ambitious developers, and a near-professional project aiming for the quality over quantity standard.

Although I love offering the opportunity to people to experiment a totally new development profession, and there are exceptions - I would most likely prefer one who is specialised in one lane, than a jack of all trades.

To sum this up: Please include in your application what exactly you would expect working with me/us, and why you're interested. Most of all, how would working with us benefit you?

---Job Specific---

Graphic Designers:

Ranging from pixel artists to concept artists, if you have experience and a passion for what you do, and feel like you can move your style towards the server's default style, yet also introducing your own ideas your chances are extremely high.

If you're interested please showcase at least three of your best art pieces in your application.


Scripters:

As I'm not quite unfamiliar with scripting overall I cannot set a definite requirement at this point. However I'm sure I'll hire a NAT Admin as soon as I've met one who's proved himself skilled, knowledgeable and eager to learn.

To name a few tasks in the big scheme of things that will have to be scripted:

• A kingdoms system, in which a leader is elected every 10 days, having a rank system, being able to invite others.
• Shop system, honor points being the currency.
• An automated events system.

Level Designers:

Are you a skilled and experienced level designer, willing to furthermore develop your own style and seek the very limits of customization in levels on Graal (in calloboration with our Graphics Artists)? If your answer is yes, I'd love to hear from you.

Please include at least 3 of your best levels in the application.

I might make a northern kingdom in the future, but for now I'm focussing on just two, cohesion and simplicity is vital at this stage.

I really hope more people show interest, I tried my best not to sound too daunting, if you're unsure wether you're adequate enough just let me know.
If you're eager to learn and in it for the fun and enjoyment in the process, a spot would almost be guaranteed ;). And I do not plan to close the open hiring spots anytime soon, it's never about competition.

Hm. I'm sure I logged in pretty much every day, as well as for most of the people that work with me. I realize the tileset is rubbish, it hasn't even really been worked on.

Wait, you're the guy I hired as GAT, who turned out stealing graphics and claimed them as your own...
