And yeah, perhaps a few of the branches are a little too thick. Boo to the branch that would block the view of the trunk a lot!

Cool. you should keep the trunk, and the tree top as two seperate images... That way you can use setshape on the trunk, and drawoverplayer; on the tree top. It would work out cool.
