At first, thank you for the comments and suggestions. I told our new LAT to redo the OSL and newbie course because they were done by another LAT before.
I know that the movement system has a few bugs so it is one of our next tasks to fix it.
The 3D looking images are taken from free GFX sets so theyre not really made for graal. We will replace some of them with our own ones and also we will work on new nice customized GUI elements in near future.

Our first target isn't to get into classic tab as fast as possible but to make the server nice, friendly and playable for everyone. I know that it is a long way but it isn't impossible. Also we have confined the maximum count of non-dev-staff and we are choosing only the best ones.

There will also be much more dungeons, caves, baddies, weapons, quests, tutorials, jobs, events, factories, player-/npc controlled shops and items.

I don't think redoing the levels, gfxs or scripts will help the server, remaking the main levels will indeed make players have a better first impression... but the server itself doesn't have any direction and it doesn't stand out from other servers.

How you can say that? You should know that zenox is under development (although it is progressing slowly) so many things are undone and/or open to implement/fix by development staff. Our direction is to become a friendly, nice, enjoyable RPG server. It differs in many aspects from other servers too.

I couldn't see any difference between this and Zodiac except you're way under development than Zodiac. Only thing I found fresh/nice was your mini map.

I'd recommend deriving some kind of story-line and quests.
I was quickly turned away from this server also from some ass non-stop pking the newbie dungeon thwarting any progression; you may want to look into creating some levels as non-pk to create a more "friendly, nice, and enjoyable" RPG server.

Quick review:

Graal Ghetto:
Log on. See people killing each other, see trash all over the ground. Find out its for picking up and recycling. (What an original idea)
Get bored within a minute of being online, log off.

Zenox:
Log on, buy a dagger, go into the noob dungeon.
Fight to the boss, and die immediately on the boss.
Return to the dungeon, fight some more, level up. Get to the boss.
A level 14 player comes in, kills the boss, kills everything else, then kills me.
I log off.

Overall...im not impressed with either, and really have no constructive criticism to put in.
Since...it should be obvious what needs fixed.

Logged in, did half the course, logged off cause it was a boring crappy zodiac.

GG:
What to say? Half the staff does nothing, the other half sucks at their specific job and/or just abuses and calls it work. 98% Stolen content. Probably the only legit stuff on there are the things I originally made when I worked there. Bravo to Akeon for actually banning us for on walling, I dunno how they stole you but your the only useful staff on the server. The player count I see are the players you normally see begging for guns or jobs on era. No surprise the fail era copy gets the fail era players.

Both fail, I'd rather see no hosted servers than non-deserving ones.

Hey, why so pessimistic?
Today I added nice PK Protection system. Our LAT has fixed the startlocal and is building new caves, dungeons and other levels. And also how can you compare Zenox with Zodiac?

wow how can you not see how bad zenox is atm, i wasnt able to enter the leveling dungeon because an idiot would just lame me

Well, im thinking about extending the story about Zenox. Make a big story about the terrains, land mass and other stuff, trying to make it more unique with alot of variation which can give the players something nice to "Chew" on. ;)

Yeah sounds good :D
But the story should fit to the quests. But at the moment the only quest we have, is a bridge building quest where the player must give a man some materials that he can finish building the bridge. After all materials were given to him and the bridge was built, you can reach all the other islands of Zenox (because else you are confined to the starting island). The script was a little bit complicated because the bridge is tile based and only shown for the clients, that have already finished the bridge building quest to make sure, that the player is more experienced before he can go to the other buildings, shops, dungeons, caves, cities etc. of the other islands :cool:

Yeah, it's a pretty good start quest.
Also we are thinking about making Alot of Huge Gmaps, and maybe try to combine them with eachother and make Desert, Swamps, Forest, Isles etc etc.

Which could give alot of variation and very much stuff. Also many tilesets.
