Advertising Your Playerworld.

Updated rules and guidelines: http://forums.graalonline.com/forums...ment.php?f=113.

I notice that many playerworld managers create threads only stating that they need help for their project or are hiring a certain staff member without giving much information.

I think that in order to attract quality people to your project you need to advertise your playerworld to the best of your ability.

Try including some of this information in your thread before posting it.
  • State the goal of your project.
  • Post screenshots of what you have created already, to help pursuade people to join your project.
  • Post your story line if any.
  • List your skills of development if you have any.
  • When stating requirements for the positions be specific.
  • Developing playerworlds should look for Development staff such as NATs, GATs, and LATs.
  • Don't post threads promising people who join you project power. I.E. "Looking for a skilled manager"

Just basic hints for the newer playerworld managers who I see from time to time post something like "Hiring Staff for [servername here] Forum PM me or AIM me [aim s/n here] if interested.

If some people are interested in nolavario, they probably looked at it when it was open to the public for a few weeks.

What if your server had not been bought yet and you wanted quality team members with better than average skills.

Hiring developers in high demand with GFX Skills like Alarid, Level skills like Paradox, and scripting skills like Kaimetsu needs advertisment most of the time. Whether your playerworld is public or not.

I was just speaking on my behalf. If other playerworlds try to hire without showing something off, well thats their problem.

Silly rabbit. Before the individual playerworld forums were removed, I had many things that I showed off to people. And people can go online to the little area I have open to the public right now aka Neko Land.

I was not singling out any manager in particular I was mostly trying to help out newer managers (as a whole) who seem to vague about their projects when asking for help from the developers on this forum.

I have known about and seen what your server has to offer for awhile now, it looks very promising. Good Job!

I will agree (on both parts :D)

Yes, I too see many projects promoted but nothing more than 'words on paper' so to speak. I'm guilty of that as well, but I do have somethings to show for it at least :)

Yeah.... looks pretty helpful. But if you're a manager, and you are trying to get a staff together, you probably won't really have much that you are able to show. :frown:

lol exactly, especially, lets say you want a LAT you can show a level because you dont know anything about levels and you need someone to create one.
