Elysium Pre-Alpha Dev Phase 1

So, I wanted to start a new thread on this, as it is specific to exactly what we are doing in this development phase.

Here are the things being done in phase 1:
  • Character Creation
  • Forums/Support
  • UI - revisited
  • Floating Island levels
  • Player Movement
  • Player Chat
  • Player Battle
  • NPCs
  • NPC Chat
  • Sign Dialog
  • Animals
  • Baddies

It's not a ton of stuff. Our point of Phase 1 is to be able to fight, chat, and move. The basics of basics. A few other things may be added to this list as time goes, and depending on the speed that things are completed.

We have 3 phases of pre-alpha development right now, and at the longest plan to be completed with the pre-alpha stage of development around the end of May. It could be sooner, it could be a littler longer. Neither I nor Decus really want it to be that long and are trying to go as quick as possible, but we're a small team of 3-4 people, with only Decus doing GFX and Levels, while I'm working on the majority of the systems at the moment. Emera has projects he is working on as well, and Deas helps with the large issues as he is available. As we get further along towards the end of Phase 1, I will release some general details on Phase 2. Again, I just don't want to set out stuff that isn't nearly completed or even started for that matter.

I'll keep updates for this phase going here, but please note: Only major updates will be posted on the forums from now on. To find more specifics on updates, more images, and more videos (as they come) please visit and "like" our Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/graalonlineelysium

To everyone: Thanks for the support so far you guys. Our plans will be released as we progress through the phases of development. It's not that we necessarily want to be secretive on things as much as we just don't want to release info on specifics until they work.

May not look like a lot but a lot of work has gone into what we're doing. Can't wait to see the results though.

New screenshot of our character creation at the select race point has been posted!

Check out http://www.facebook.com/graalonlineelysium to see it (why you're there, why don't you hit like on our Facebook page too?)! :)

Here's a screenshot of all of our races, while featuring the last one mostly complete now; the Elf race.

To see the rest of the screenshots and a video on our character creation (it's a tad outdated but still mostly the same, a new one will be up soon!) go to our facebook page www.facebook.com/graalonlineelysium !

P.S.
Please excuse the not green frog. His colors accidentally got reset.

I want to play as a Pearlmutt, I'd name myself Frog.

Good luck! It looks like you've got some good ideas and a plan to go forward. Looking forward to giving it a try when you have more done.

The character creation looks really nice btw.

Thanks guys. Decus did all the gfx, besides some stuff either from the graal community with permission to use, or free to use. There will be a credits spot on the main login page for anything not completely made by staff.

It's taken soo long to get to this point, but it's becoming well worth it.

Vyse how you been? It's been a long time old friend. :)

Was starting to look like a nice server and getting some where, too bad that you guys stop the server development again.
