NC disconnecting
 

My NC repeatedly keeps disconnecting and reconnecting itself every so often whenever i idle on my rc and it gets a bit annoying. It's been happening for the past few months on a number of servers. I think it's my ISP since on 3 different computers I tried this, with wireless and a wired connection.

Forgive me if there was a thread like this before.

There are a few threads about this, yes, but the bottom line is: It's not your ISP. It happens when you idle. Your NC isn't sending/receiving information to/from the NPC-Server. Stefan said somewhere he would likely add regular pings to be sent between you and the server to keep them connected in the next version, or something along those lines.

Yes there is an experimental RC that is pinging but it's not public yet.

The solution would be to not idle on RC :D

I always thought is was an ISP/networking issue... my NC disconnects/reconnects when I'm at home, but it doesn't do it when I connect from school.

Sorry for the late reply, but thanks for the help everyone. I kind of don't get it still considering it started happening to me last summer unless this was just a recent thing occurring. Not to mention me more than anyone else on an RC :(.
