Abuse of Tag Helpers?
Well, this has ben bugging me for a while. I see people wearing [OOC] tags when they have a kingdom tag on also, for example.. [OOC] Aaron Lewis of (Dustari) if you are ooc you don't wear a kingdom tag, you wear no tag, or maybe a guild tag but not the kingdom tag. and i see leaders setting there names to something like I am making levels ( Zormite ) this gets a little old, the tags should be made so the people can wear them IN CHARACTER, and OOC should be used when your tag is OFF! sorry, this is just how i feel.

also seeing a bunch of [OCC] in the list pisses me off :( |
they are just tags man, i mean, whats it matter? it shows they are part of a group.

if they're out of charactor why add the tag that the charactor uses?
thats like me having a gun but saying i'm not going to kill any thing/one. erm...its pointless |

Come on people, its just a tag. Maybe they wanna show they're in that group but don't wanna rp right then. If this actually matters to you that much you need to get a life.

Yeah, good point. But I still don't get why this matters so much to you.

JUST BECAUSE THEY HAVE A KINGDOM TAG ON DOESN'T MEAN THEY HAVE TO RP, IF YOU HAVE BEEN PLAYING GRAAL LONG ENOUGH YOU WOULD RELIZE THIS

The reason OOC tags were created is because Dustari wanted their members wearing tags as much as possible so that it would seem that their kingdom was much larger.
|
it worked
|
Dustari always has an evil plan :((

The Dustari OOC tags can be taken any way you look at them. Though my original design for them was to be a way for Dustari members to talk amongst themselves and discuss the Kingdom, etc. without having to use forums, external chat rooms, etc. Yes, they do take up space, but no, they are not pointless. They do have a point, something which you people have failed to see. Any other questions about the current Dustari can be directed to me, anyways, just make a thread or continue posting it here.

=/ this is a pointless topic, OOC tags mean out of character, and the dustari castle has many npcs for rooms that require the (Dustari) in their names, if you are ooc, that means that you are still apart of the kingdom, participating in duscusions, but not any rps at the moment, if that person did not want to rp or be in Dustari for a bit they would have no ooc tag,
ok exsample, Squire unknown of (Dustari) he is approched by the prince in an rp fastion "Greetings young Squire, how goes this blessid day?" later in the day that person does not want to rp, but only hang out and talk to frinds, [OOC] Squire unknown of (Dustari) the prince apporches him (hey whats up) now, with no ooc tag you have to talk with ooc:odfajidfpoajsd or (with brakets) the tag elimanates that, and who cares if this is not val. it is still an rping envorment, as I said, this topic is pointless, well maby not, it might of tought you guys something about my badd spelling and ooc tags in dustari. |
Some reasons for allowing [OOC] tags:
1) People in your guild are still grouped together in the Playerlist 2) You can still read/send guild messages 3) You can still enter the kingdom-only rooms 4) It shows that you could, at a moment's notice, switch into character and RP someone's @ss! (joking :D) |
