I like the unfinished house, it looks nice.

BigBear3 09-04-2009 01:36 PM

Digging it all, especially the RPG.

Gothika 09-04-2009 01:57 PM

Nice tutorials, hopefully people will see them and stop their awful pillow shading.

But at least they have a light source.

papajchris 09-05-2009 05:49 AM

the images look good i like the blueish grey gun. Also, why MUST every GAT claim an image is unfinished? Is it so if it gets criticized you can say it's not done? Just curious as like i said every GAT thread has at least 1 image that claims their not done. Atleast though in yours the image actually isn't done

Because art is subjective in nature, the quality of art being "finished" is also inherently subjective. As such, anything "finished" is still "unfinished" and bound to the whim of either the creator or the person(s) viewing the individual piece.

Really like the AT4 HEAT one. ^^

But he does have a point. Usually people will post work with a "Here's something I made a year ago" or "It isn't finished yet".
I don't know why people are ashamed about their own work and they still post it.

I agree that there are a bunch of people who simply lack confidence. I'm just offering the alternative for the other batch of people the alternative actually applies to. :D

Thanks, also made a 2nd one, which i think is a bit better, bit deformed again tho, and the eyes are messed up again.

Unkownsoldier 12-25-2009 05:13 PM

Because when someone gives constructive criticism the artist usually feels it unfinished, and needing the improvements that the person suggested. I would think it far worse if someone considered it finished when there is constructive input and suggestions on how to improve it.

Dnegel 12-25-2009 06:17 PM

I love the guns. ^^

tips, comments, critics, anything is appreciated.

Soala 12-26-2009 09:02 PM

I like this one better, because of better details
But there is still one eye out of place lol (I believe you just need to add a dark line around the white eyespace)

Thank you, he uses the same brand i use. :p

Liberated 12-27-2009 04:44 PM

followed a tutorial for drawing eyes,
this was the result after the first attempt at the tutorial, not very good, but i was quite satisfied with it.
http://fc05.deviantart.net/fs70/f/20..._powerpuck.png

an hour or so later i decided to give another go at an eye, this time i used what i had already learned from the tutorial, and only looked at the finished product for the tutorial for some reference.
It came out much better IMO.

C&C, tips, anything is appreciated.

coreys 12-27-2009 05:04 PM

Well if it's Male, the eye lashes need to be more subtle. On the bottom eye lid the eye lashes get thinner around the center of the eye, and there's generally a fold right under those bottom lashes where the eye lid is folding in.

Other than that, looks good :)

Vima 12-27-2009 05:22 PM

i LOVE the eyes! If I were to choose, I have to disagree, I like the first one best, mainly because its not so zoomed in as the other one ;)

Dnegel 12-27-2009 06:05 PM

The first eye looks awesome. :D

Bridge tiles, best to be used with Gonstruct i guess, or with graal when we can use layers.
