Pirate Development Project

1 Attachment(s)
Here is some work I've recently done for the Crescent Pirates on Kingdoms Debug. I will be starting on the dungeon soon which will be a smugglers hideout/mini town. As this is the first attempt at developing a town in a dungeon I will welcome any suggestions or ideas you may have.

Right on top of Ess's house.
You'll have to work that out.

I can easily move the house down to a better position.

Not done much for this project recently as I've been working on other things but I'll show some of my progress so far.

Added a few npcs playing cards on a table.

Very fun - nice to see some kingdom-related development. Good work

Yuck, you better let me bring my ideas on here, it's time for me to take over your project ! Nah, nice job brother, I'll come and check it out tomorrow.

Nice

Thank you, I'm glad you all like the progress and I'll try to improve it more when I can, although it is getting harder to do without many development tools to work with. I had to make all the improvements to that level using a text editor.

Development update

I've recently finished work on the inside of the smugglers hideout. The main plan for the level was to keep it minimal in size yet fill the level with many boxes and barrels to give the level a purpose. The smugglers use this room to store goods they have stolen on their travels. I've also included a 1080p version of the outside to show more of the level.

Any suggestions or comments would be more than welcome.

The sand tiles are designed like that and I can't really add / change them.

Someone uploaded that POS tileset on Debug for some reason and it replaced itself in everyone with access. I renamed it a few weeks ago though, he probably just needs to delete picso2.png

Maybe doing a smuggler quest where you have to give the smugglers an artefact?

It is possible, however I wouldn't be able to give any sort of reward for completing the quest.

CP does have a lot of NPCs around it. It would be cool if we could give them more of a reason for existence. Perhaps we could incorporate some form of trading quest but the prizes would have to be small.

I think pirate related prizes would be awesome. e.g Rum, Cannonballs, Hook ect.

I could probably do a small quest with the reward of 5 Rum, 50 Cannonballs and a Hook for example but it would have to be a one-time only quest to help newer players ect so it wouldn't be abused to collect on the items and would also have to justify it with Tig because normal kingdom development projects are not allowed to add items to users.

Because those go down well in trades. But i guess any incorporation of a quest is welcomed and i take it it's from your own pocket so yea it'd be nice for some players to get, keeps em busy.

It can't really be anything of value or else it could be easily farmed. And it can't be anything too awesome because the other Kingdoms would kick off.
