Rufus 05-26-2009 09:28 PM

I think Darlene always wanted to give the Classic servers their own forums, however, was reminded when you posted about it.

SwimChao 05-26-2009 10:08 PM

A lot of other people have been pushing this as well! :)

It's a good idea to centralize stuff here, but Darlene, can you please put it in a sub forum? e.g. Playerworlds > Servers > Era, and the same for all other servers.

It's just adding even more stuff to the main page.

It's fine the way it is...easily seen.

I think they should have their own section(like development, general and such), that way we can collapse them, since they take up a hefty chunk of the forums.

Yeah like:

+ General Forums
- Graal Main Forum
- Forum Rules and Documentation
- Non-Graal-Related Forum
+ Gold Server Forums
- Graal Kingdoms Main Forum
- Zone Main Forum
- Graal 3d (Milestone 3) Main Forum (Move this up here, it's an official server)
+ PlayerWorld Server Forums
- Playerworlds Main Forum
- Classic Main Forum
- Era Main Forum
- (etc)
+ Development Forums
- Level Design
- Graphic Design
- NPC Scripting
- Audio and Video Design (Merge these two as they're similar and both have few threads/posts)
- Gani Construction
+ Technical Forums
- Server Maintenance (Move this from the main forum)
- Technical Support (Make a subforum that links to the support center)
- Future Improvements

Then we could easily close which ones we didn't really have an interest in. Graalv5 area needs to go and the threads need to be moved to their appropriate areas. It is not used for what it is intended for, but why would it be? It's outdated now. It's just clutter.

No it isn't.

Presentation and consistency makes a hell of a lot of difference. MG put them in alphabetical order and I'm thankful for that because they look a hell of a lot better than what they were at first. We just need a bit more organization.

a) She was replying to something else.
b) Just because she says something is good doesn't necessarily mean it's good, but refer back to point a.

Pelikano 05-27-2009 02:58 PM

a) She was putting up a general statement in response to "something else"
b) So just because you say it's not good it's not? Damn you're too full of yourself.

Nope! People appreciate the new forums, I know I do. I just think it could do with some additional changes to make the forum look nicer.

DuBsTeRmAn 05-27-2009 06:55 PM

I don't mind having it as it is, I like it.

Why do you have no trouble bringing the "more subforums" to Unix, but every single other suggestion or request has gone ignored?

Why does it always end up like this? Just because people are giving constructive suggestions to improve the forums doesn't mean it's not good enough. It's not like people are sitting here saying it sucks or something.

If it's about presentation they have to go work on the Graal Homepage, add ads, which they're not doing.

fowlplay4 05-28-2009 04:52 PM

Yet again does the Graal Forum succeed at arguing over something so insignificant, another reason to not use it. =/

Close this please as it has nothing to do with Zodiac.
