Graal Classic was - about a century ago - linked on a big german zelda fanpage, zfans or similar.
Thats how I got in touch - centuries ago.

RevolutionJS 02-22-2009 12:00 PM

A friend showed me.

DarkRenji 02-22-2009 12:17 PM

Me and my friend used to play a diffrent game, and it got closed down.

The development aspect of the game interested me, my brother introduced me.

Nataxo 02-22-2009 03:12 PM

My ex- bf showed it to me.

Though I made my account with the GK page... And then I started playing zone so... =P

Advertisement for this in a outdated PC Gamer (PC Gaming?) magazine I took from a waiting room. I think it had a Matrix cover.

Darugo 02-22-2009 05:23 PM

I just happened to come around to it in 06.
What really made my join was the green site which looked pretty nice.
also the new one looks horrible.

I had the offline editor for years and years, but never downloaded the game client. One day I stopped making levels and sometime while I was in school my friend gave me his USB stick which still had the editor on it (I am not sure if he ever played, that'd be kinda odd if one day I asked him and he said he still gets on sometimes and I never knew) so I went to the site and downloaded the client. I think this was '04 or '05, but I know I was still in school when I downloaded it at least and I finished grade 12 in '05.

i used to sit and watch stephen play GK everyday, back when GK actually had a large playercount. whenever he'd get up to use the washroom, get food or whatever it was, i'd hop right on and play for the 2-3 minutes he was gone. i always lusted to play, after all, graal kingdoms looked amazing. about three or four years ago, i made an account. on my birthday, i upgraded from trial with my birthday money. later on i joined the forums, and was inactive until early into 2007.

Zelda fan-game search.

Tigairius 02-22-2009 07:34 PM

I used to watch my cousin play it when it first came out and it fascinated me how you could interact with other people on your computer and see other people from across the world right there on your computer screen playing the same game as you.

So I asked him how I can play it and he told me the URL to graalonline.com and then it went from there.

Googi 02-23-2009 07:35 AM

"Try this game it's like ALttP."

maximus_asinus 02-23-2009 07:50 AM

Cousin found the game in IT class, he kept telling me about it and the day he went to show me, the website was down. A few months later he rediscovered. We shared the account "Fuzz Man" for months until my parents bought a PC, then I made this account.

Curt1zzle 02-23-2009 08:00 AM

I thought I was one of the few that started off of the cyberjourers site. I remember playing on the webpage. After awhile, I finally downloaded the client. You could only play classic for some time, so I think. Of course it took me forever to figure out how to even get onto the server. Good times.

MiniOne 02-23-2009 10:18 AM

Did anyone else join cause of the cool pictures xD?

xXziroXx 02-23-2009 12:02 PM

I joined because me and two friends found the editor extremely awesome.

CharlieM 02-23-2009 01:59 PM

A computer I was on had the editor on it I started messing around with it and liked it, downloaded editor and the game client on my computer at the time played as trial for awhile, then I bought Gold back when it was like 14 for a year.

CABAL49 02-23-2009 04:57 PM

I was on a website that sends you to different games. I saw one that said Zelda Online and eventually ended up here.

Frankie 02-23-2009 05:07 PM

A friend of mine showed it to me. He showed me the java version which had the bomberman stuff on it. Eventually I downloaded the real game.

Ravenblade1979 02-23-2009 06:10 PM

One of my friends told me about the game. So I went to the site and downloaded the client and the first server I played on was GK. I think just after that christmas I got my gold account.

salesman 02-23-2009 06:35 PM

My friend showed me a looooong time ago and we played a few quests for an hour or so...

a few years later I found it again out of boredom and became addicted to the modern server, Era.

Jesper 02-23-2009 06:42 PM

MiniOne 02-25-2009 10:00 AM

xD graal fails at advertising as you can see...
Most players joined through word of mouth which is great but we could achieve so much more if we put it on a few more free advertisement game sites :)

P.S I already know there's a thread about this but just stating the fact again.

pico57 02-25-2009 01:02 PM

Lol i discovered graal in 2005, cuz i was looking for a MMORPG 3D TO DOWNLOAD FREE

z.z
