Era News System
 

Just to let people know who are currently in "Era News" Skyld is scripting a new system where people in Era News can submit their own editions by using an editor ingame. I've been testing it with him as i'm the founder of Era News and it is looking good, just a few fixes and it could be ready soon. I do beleive how ever it might not be ready before edition 4 is released so that would be released as normal.

hopefully the page layout can be changed too. it's really boring that each page has the same layout. left article, right article, middle picture, middle bottom advertisement.

Sounds cool, but there will be a lot of noobs writing random articles, so I hope there is some way to block some out.

I think staff have to approve of each article before the newspaper is released.

Also, we're working on a "Your opinion" section. and maybe a comics or jokes section lol.

Yeah also the newspaper can handle as many pages so hopefully the whole design and layout is changed for next release nataxo because people do get bored of the same layout as Frankie mentioned.. Don't be scared to do more than 3 pages :)

I haven't seen Skyld working on it since a few days after he started it.

I'm not going to try to pick up where he left off, though. You'll probably have to wait until he gets finished with it.

Well, what's even the problem with the News-System?

This is how it worked/works atm.

I PM all my staff to tell them to look for something to write about or to write about something I have in mind.
Then I need to sell the advertisments.
I also need to PM my staff constantly so they can give me the story on time.

Then, when I have all the articles I paste them in a template I have saved on a paint document. I also need to get pictures per page.

So, when I have all this done I email it to Daz and he uploads it.

I don't think you need Skyld to script a Window, where you can write in your text directly.

We don't, but Skyld started the project, and I have been asked to focus all my attention on the Dev server. Deo did not ask me to complete it, so I will not.

why would you want to neglect the main server?

Seriously,I agree with frankie.I am starting to think that skyld isn't going to finish the system so why can't some other scripter do it,we are a business just like era hotel only difference is staff actually do stuff for them.
