Knife event!
hi everyone, i wonder if you guys want a knife event;
what to name it, ideas on how it could look? Discuss. |
I think a map that changes its configuration like Snowrace would be cool. It could have preset configurations for each type of weapon.
|
KnifeFight
Knife Wars KnifeAtthack KnifeWorld |
KnifeMayhem or KnifeMassacre. :]

but i have no idea how that is done on Snowrace, so that's something that have to be added afterward. Quote:

Just thought of a weird capture the flag. Its like a balloon with rope that gets smaller and smaller....and if your team ends up popping the balloon your team wins the point (of the flag).
But what happens is if you cut it you suddenly have a bullseye on you. The only way to cut the string is to actually kill the person. Its like the death blow will not only kill the player but cut the string and attach it to you. |

Their are already knife events e.g. Deathmatch knives only
but I'm guessing you want another so i suggest the barrel wars map with knives only (no throwing if there is are way to disable that) and have people running around stabbing each other. |

Yeah and we all wear funny party hats, and the person to blow up the multicolored balloon rides over the rainbow route into the wonderland of fairytales under the rain of air queues and confetti. |
Actually mario kart had no place in this idea. I just think it might actually make the damn game funner. Pardon me for trying to put a little laugh in your otherwise lame day.
W/e keep what you have and complain more. Thats what you people seems to like to do. And you wonder why staff ignores you all the time. |

Anyway about your idea so let me get this straight your basically saying have a balloon and if you kill a person on the other team it shrinks and the first team to make the balloon go pop wins. (Correct me if I'm Wrong) I actually find that would be quite a interesting and enjoyable event thinking about it, if that is i got your idea correct. |
or
-stabbing event! :D |
I got two ideas for a name Knife Fight, and Knife Lul... as for the area, each team climbs down in a box that is 4x2 TILES instead of levels and fight to the death, winners get a visible medal that means they have played to much time on graal

I don't go on the gmap and kill anymore because of my computer lag. Quote:

Ok I revamped the idea. Just the flag itself shows on your character and when you kill the wearer its transferred to you.
Different though as you must make it back to where you started. Ok basically its a map. Kinda like zone wars. Only a bit smaller. Everyone starts at one end. Only weapon is knives. Once you get halfway down the weapon is useable. If you get the flag you have to make your way back through to where you started. So its like capture the flag with a twist because its guaranteed that there's going to be people waiting. Also text will come up telling you who has it. So that way you won't get away easily. |
As I understand it, this thread is about a new event map, just as the barrel wars released recently. A small map with a rather short event on it, no new planet.
For this, the event map all about knifes, could be a sort of teamplay event. A few small maps, ready the size to hold 30+ / 50- players, without having everyone stand close by on startup. Themed maps as summer, winter, barren lands, woods... With randomly placed obstracles on the map. Trees on the wood plane, lava and rocks on the barren lands, snow piles and alike on the winter map... The objektive is to hunt something spawning randomly all about the map with the knifes, players are not able to kill each other and the randomly spawned creatures of course fitting the map theme are rather harmless aswell. The player to kill the most creatures over a period of time, may it 5 minutes / 10 minutes / 15 minutes wins the event, and gets the prize. Teamplay can be helpful in this event, and the random generated obstracles aswell as different themed maps to choice for the hoster as command should make it quite interesting even after it's hosted dozen of times. The name should be more of a secondary thing. |
I like dennis idea because of the fact you won't need to add rules like no teaming and no running and etc but there should be some sort of danger so that its not that simple, make the creatures that spawn do something.

But the different sort of random spawning and moving mobs to slaughter, could possibly use theme specifically special effects. The trolls in the woods knock you back as sort of the blaster does. The yetis in the arctic map freeze you as sort of the ice cannon does. The stone/lava golems in the barren lands are immune to attacks, while charged and heat up temporarily. And so on. |
Good idea :D

The "regular" bots are just pretty boring, but with a few tweaks and maybe new looks or the random spawn also randomly picks outfits, it could be fun. At a rare chance, one or another will find his own look in the event. Omg look that bot there wears MY outfit... |

Knife event could simply be played on Deathmatch...
Or the barrel wars planet with no barrels. |
