a RPG

this is an RPG, i thought of this, since Rocketlauncher is lame because it follows people, and mortar can shoot very rapidly,
http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j1...ck/ZONERPG.png
an rpg will have to be reloaded everytime you fire, which will require another press of the firing button. Just like shotgun, only an RPG will require that after every shot.
It will do about 39 damage? ( 2 shots won't kill a trial)
and will fall under heavy arms.
Unlike the rocket launcher it will not follow it's target, but will just got straight like normal bullets, it will cause an area of effect damage like an explosion, altough if it zips past you it won't explode, it should also explode when it stops moving forward/at it's maximum range.
it will go faster then a rocket, actually it should go quite fast.

i used this picture for reference:

the green piece is the grenade, so the front end of the RPG

The grenade needs to be of a darker tone, and try not to pillow shade.

Liberated 10-12-2008 07:02 PM

it's not pillow shaded, as you can see the light is coming slightly from above, and as it is a cilinder, it becomes a gradient

made up and down views

Jesper 10-12-2008 07:09 PM

I like it!

Liberated 10-12-2008 07:10 PM

k, i will only allow stefan to implement it if he makes it a normal weapon for a class, and not for gelats. i want a normal weapon added to zone for a change.
i might have to change the up and down views a bit because there the grenade IS pillow shaded *ugh* pillow shading sucks.

i hope im not demanding too much, because he can always refuse it.

It looks weird to be honest o.O

I don't know if it'd get implemented anytime soon since we don't have a gani artist. We're going to be uploading a new look for the rocket launcher very soon, but maybe if Stefan or Dan like it they could upload yours instead.

Liberated 10-12-2008 07:26 PM

okay, can you please define weird, because to me, it looks TOO smooth, so any tips for improvement are appreciated.

Darky, you can gani, you gani this if they want it! >:]

we can hire one :D

Liberated 10-12-2008 07:34 PM

i've also still got to make a bullet.
Because the rocketlauncher/mortar bullet/rocket wouldn't look good with this.

Crono 10-12-2008 07:41 PM

Left and right look good but the up and down look ridicoulsly retarded.

MagikMasterMind 10-12-2008 08:38 PM

Looks fine. But not suitable for Zone yet. It needs more details in the first place. As for the shading... it looks ridiculous.

pooper200000 10-12-2008 08:40 PM

It reminds me a lot of this

Well that is what an RPG looks like.

DarkReaper0 10-12-2008 09:17 PM

Left and right looks good.

But up and down honestly looks like a spear. (I'm not crazy!)

If it is implemented i hope it's scripted to actually behave like a realistic projectile and not just to defy gravity completely like the rocket launcher. (Have you CONSIDERED the ridiculousness of that thing from a physics standpoint?)

The mortar weapon almost got it right (except gravity is NOT that slow)

I'm not making a Gani for it until I know it won't be a stupid cash shop weapon. Besides, fix the up and down view, they aren't positioned at an angle and look as if you are directly above the weapon.

agreed, it needs to be fixed, and i wouldn't want it implemented if it becomes a cash shop weapon, and the copy rights are still mine now.

edit: i didn't know sayian already made one, his looks loads better!

Minomato 10-15-2008 09:41 PM

I can gani, but I think the concept and graphic need a bit of tweaking. For the graphic, it looks like it needs to be cleaned up a bit -- the outline is coarse. Concept, well, it'd be too easy to dodge.. And if it used $25 ammo like rockets use, then it wouldn't be very practical.

Ok, go find a gani artist. Have him send samples of his work to Daniel or myself.

That was so blantantly rude and uncalled for that I gave you positive rep.

Hah, why don't you ask Jo about that. The second you upload something to the Forums it's Graals. They made Jo's twinblade without his permission, nor did they even allow me to give him a permanent one.

Sayian didn't want his Gravity Hammer as a gelat weapon but Stefan still put it in there after saying he wouldn't.

And the list of people getting screwed over by Graal goes on.

If you're any good send some samples of you work to Daniel or I. It has to be REALLY good, though.

I did the majority of the ganis for the plasmachaingun, although Stefan edited them to make the gun blink. (I didn't make the stupid screen-shake effect, dan's idea for a recoil script.) I've also made weapon ganis for weapons that I designed myself, the combat pistol and sharprifle.

By the way, I told stefan to make the plasma chaingun NOT a gelat item, but he put it in the shop-- for even more than the photon! The shop description shows the general advantages of a gelat weapon as positives for the plasma chaingun, like "it can be used with any class," and "you don't need to reload as much as a normal chaingun, because it sucks and shoots slower with the same amount of damage!" Too bad they didn't mention the recoil script and that when it uses plasma ammo, it leaves less for your other crap gelat weapons. Just thought I'd mention that. :D

Dante55555 10-15-2008 10:08 PM

Ah, I see.

OUCH, i DID NOT upload it to graal forums, i uploaded it to Photobucket, and merely posted a link here, so no it's still mine.

Minomato 10-16-2008 08:37 PM

Kleptomania is just Zone's way of not giving you credit. ;)
But yeah, uploading doesn't necessarily mean it's for the server's use. It's just there for referrence. The artist still has all rights to it, even on display. Asking before use would be the appropriate measure. There's a difference between public domain and "gallery" work.

You do realise that the RPG would have to consist of completely new animations and would not be skinned onto another weapon?

It's not an impossible feat to accomplish. I'd prefer if it was an efficient and easy thing to whip off, but I'd still do it.

Liberated 10-17-2008 07:24 AM

i guess i first have to improve the graphic?

But it's very time consuming to make all the separate Ganis of one weapon from scratch, and I just wanted to see if you would dedicate enough time to actually getting it fully animated by the end of the year.

It can become very monotonous and can make one lose motivation.

This is precisely why I'm not posting any more weapon graphics I make, or anything that I actually put hard work into creating. Quite frankly, many things contributed to zone go uncredited.

The problem is that anything thats made for graal automatically becomes their property so of course they won't credit it.

Wait, So Gravity Hammer was created on Graal before Halo 3? Wow, Graal should sue Bungie! [/sarcasm]

Liberated 10-25-2008 05:42 PM

uh no, they wish. Its a deffinite rip of halo 3.
