Zone Website Design
 

As per request from Dan and Stefan, a new Zone website is being made! I'm the webmaster, and I would like to share the current design with you all to get some criticisms and some ideas.

Currently, none of the links work right now (save the Community link, which links to these forums).

Please note that the missing logo at the top is not a mistake, I simply do not have the graphic. I will have it up soon, however.

really nice....i like it but u should add all the stats...especially *cough*Stormrifle *Cough*...lol but yea it looks really good...9/10.

Yeah looks WAY better than the one now. I like the statistics part but adding all the statistics seems too much.

but cmon...do u notice that on more than one of those are bahuma...we all kno that he has those records and that nobody willll ever reach them...so why not put the other ones on...so the littler people(compared to bahuma) can display their records and be proud of their achievements...such as, i am #1 stormrifle...i would want that on this site so others would kno...and if u were #1 in something you would want it on here too.

No body will reach them? Sure they will, lots of people will past him, you just gotta play and work hard. And for the weapons, just go see a Statistics Bot to see..Right now i like the site and i dont think he should have to go through all the trouble of adding ALL weapons and there current Leaders. Unless he wants to..

Anything is better then the current website. I don't like the statistics. You don't need more braving rights on Zone.

nobody works hard on this game anymore...people get on for like 15 minutes...before they go to bed...and even then there are too many lamers...u can lame 5000 kills in a day and get about 6000 exp.... then it would take u about 134 days to get to 800000 exp and people just dont have that kind of patience anymore... and they dont have the time.

The statistics would allow people to view several Zone stats throughout the day. If you guys don't want it, then I can put on some Event stuff (i.e. showing the current event/event announcements).

Nice, but middle-mouse clicking the links (new tab) does not work; even for the community one :(

I'd fine it get annoying if you put a tune on, unless you change it every 2 days or something.

Music on websites are terrible. It makes it seem very unprofessional... like those java scripts that make crap fly all over the screen.

I agree, music would make it horrible.

Not on ALL websites. Although for Zone, music wouldn't fit.

No... pretty much on all websites. If I wanted to hear music while I'm browsing, I'd open up my media player and play something I like.

Quiet ambiance is usually nice.

But I don't know about Zone. A quiet techno beat in the back might not be too bad.

For the record, I am NOT going to add background music to the website.

Seems to have a different sized gap between home-stats and media-community. Also, the whole indented layout scheme.

Awesome! I thinkt here was something wrong with the bike description because it was on the right not the left under the picture.

The source consists of this:

footer.php

Kind of difficult to keep a good indentation going when you have 3 separate files.

The indentation on the text is on purpose; the "Home" text will be replaced soon enough.

The different-sized gaps will be fixed soon as well. This is a demonstration of the overall design, not a bug-finding session.

The background star image was Zone's default one for the planet selection. Still deciding weather to keep it or get a new image.

when u press "community" it goas in the same window/tab could you make it
so it opens in a new window or tab?

It might help people to understand you if you take more time to type, and check for syntax or punctuation errors, as well as grammatical flaws. Sorry, but it really does make a difference.
