Bravo Online: Will it come back?

Will the totally awesome Bravo Online come back? It truly is depressing that no one would want to revive this server for so long, it was a great asset to Graal period. It had potential and rarely everseen on Graal, excitement.

DustyPorViva 06-09-2008 07:19 PM

I doubt it. Then again, you never know what Jigga feels like bringing back.

Sinkler 06-09-2008 07:25 PM

Bravo would be a fricking success story all over Graal.

DustyPorViva 06-09-2008 07:31 PM

I doubt it. A lot of the old servers were 'success' stories back in the day... they just don't cut it right now. Look at N-Pulse, it was one of the first popular servers next to the Official Graal server way back, and now it's dead. Hell, Classic is dead.
Old servers just aren't fun for one reason or the other, anymore. You're just having a bout of nostalgia, and even if it was brought back you'd probably play it for a week before giving up on it.

I disagree, I have been playing Atrius ever since MadJ's Era, I've been loyal to Era since day 1.

I would not leave BO because BO would probably beat all of those servers.

No, it would fail. Classic servers are dead.

Then just make it hosted =/

Classic servers (referring to the type, not the 'tab' it is under) are no longer liked, for the most part.

Hence why N-Pulse is transforming into RPG.

Crono 06-09-2008 07:57 PM

It wont come back and even if it does it will die out.

Pimmeh 06-10-2008 11:34 AM

Will it come back?
No.
You dont revive servers that died out.. You simply dont.
You only revive servers that had no player-cause of dying (payment expiring etc.)

Sky 06-10-2008 12:19 PM

I'd love too revive Bravo again. It would be just a waste of time though, if you ask me. Considering all the people that made Bravo fun are gone. :( Best times on graal for me were with Bravo. Well, Bravo/Andor/Bravo/Bravo. ;D

Yah though, all in all, wouldn't be the best idea. :(

You fail to realize that Bravo only died out because MD introduced guns, which made it less unique and stopped a whole lot of players from playing (probably went back to Era), as well as two key staff quitting from the decision (Darkon and GlubGlub).

Then tell me where I am missing something... The players left, right?

Only as a direct result from a bad decision from the server manager. If there had been no guns, there wouldn't have been a mass migration from the server.

MysticalDragon 06-10-2008 04:51 PM

Couldn't be said any better.

grawlgamer 06-10-2008 05:02 PM

I wasn't there, tell me, why was bravo so fun?

DustyPorViva 06-10-2008 05:35 PM

I'm not sure if he's talking about the 'modern' Bravo.

No, in 2002 Bravo Online was revived. I'm talking the old one with little to no level detail. Like most servers that just open it was going well for a week but it started to lose a bit of playercount.

Some oldbies like Shinobi were seen running around, but the cause of death is a bit sketchy. The PWA had basically told Bravo that they had to upgrade all the levels else it would be taken down (ironic as today the PWA don't care jack **** for quality and let trash like Zodiac fly). I doubt it was the fact that the levels were upgraded that people left, but they did and the server was then taken down again.

MD's revival was going strong. It was fresh, looked much nicer than Era, had cars, and just had a great atmosphere. To even get a car you had to go through a nice creative quest for the car parts, which was actually not bad. The biggest downfall was in what direction to take the server. Sadly management decided to add kingdoms (LOL ARE YOU SERIOUS?) and guns. Players left shortly after.
