Valikorlia is hiring, and willing to pay REAL money for successfully completed jobs.

That's right, myself and a few others are willing to contribute to paying staff members for their work over the summer. Want to make some money? Or maybe you just want to work for us because we're such cool guys (yeah right)?

Valikorlia is looking for: (Rated on exclamation point importance scale)

NATs (!!!!!!!!!!!)
LATs (!!!!!!)
GATs (!)

If you're at all interested, contact me on AIM at omakeyce or send me a forum PM. Note that if you want to be paid, payment would only occur after you've finished your assigned tasks as specified to my satisfaction. The payment amount is negotiable.

Even if you aren't interested in being paid, come tryout for our staff team and be part of something big that has never been seen on Graal before.

WarriorCam 06-05-2008 08:54 PM

That's not what I was referring to.

Darklux 06-05-2008 10:58 PM

Where do you have the free money to pay them from?
Sounds like an odd plan to pay your own lat's for fun...

WarriorCam 06-06-2008 05:44 AM

I have a job and I can afford to pay someone for quality work. The co-manager as well as possibly some others have also volunteered to help pay.

Banditz 06-06-2008 04:37 PM

Symphonia kinda pays their staff. If their account needs renewed, then it gets renewed. (Mabye not for people that have just joined the staff team)

MrAnonymous_P2P 06-06-2008 06:52 PM

Dang all these rich kids

WarriorCam 06-07-2008 06:29 AM

I'm 20...

xAzerothx 06-07-2008 06:39 AM

Where do you work?

WarriorCam 06-07-2008 07:09 AM

I work in the facilities department at my college.

Mafukie 06-10-2008 01:53 AM

I don't think it matters how they get money, If you are going to work for them just contact 'em on AIM as per requested.

Dumdumdidi 07-07-2008 03:01 PM

I sent an app to warriorcam's gmail :P
no reply tho.

TheJames 07-25-2008 09:46 PM

I'll work for cash =o

WarriorCam 08-06-2008 07:58 AM

Sorry if I didn't respond to email, PMing me on the forums was probably the best option as my spam filter probably sent your email to spam hell. I think I am mostly set with developers for the time being, but thanks to those who took interest.

WanDaMan 08-06-2008 09:02 AM

Could you post some screenshots showing the quality of the levels as they are now?

Yes, their graphics are nice but their level quality is not. Valikorlia has always had a history of great graphics but not so good levels.

Yeah, right. We have tilesets that prevent those silly tile errors everybody else has to worry about. >_<

It's not just about having tile errors, it's more about the design ;D

Which is impeccable by my standards. :D Not all the levels were made under one LAT Chief, though. So, the quality and style standards aren't the same across the server.

Vima 08-07-2008 08:54 PM

Lovely Tileset! :)

I don't really mean to be negative but good level designers should stick to one style. There's a difference between having a good style and being a good level designer in general, in my honest opinion.

I agree. I, knowing how painful they can be to design, love the grass tile.

You have tilesets that attempt to hide the lack of both style and skill.

But that's ok, because the tilesets are also smokin hot.

Well, nothing can live up to your expectations, Crono. :p But, Valikorlia's custom tilesets require both style and skill. I've seen a lot of ugly stuff come from LAT applications, when using the custom tilesets.

I see a lot of ugly stuff come from the staff team when using custom tilesets too. Some of it isn't even there fault, for example the grass in dragonbelly inn.

With this tileset even bad levels will look OK, but imagine if all the levels would be well made, that means the levels would look "uberamazing" ;)

I don't like it, either. Whenever I use that grass style, I make a point to use the 4x4 group of tiles that were intended to be used (see: Greendale's grass as opposed to DBI's). But, man, the way Wyand made the house tiles, it's hard to make a unique building that doesn't look like crap.

Dante396 10-02-2008 12:43 AM

Ill tryout for LAT if still hiring.

thesmoothcriminal 10-02-2008 03:40 AM

Still paying?

DrakilorP2P 10-02-2008 11:12 AM

Maybe you should lock the thread since people can't stay away from it?
