Harrasement and Locks
 

Alright, one thing I've noticed a lot lately is problems elevating from locks and harrasement.

Harrasement is against the rules, and if you harrase other players you will be punished. Usually I freeze the player on CTF, and explain to them they are breaking the rules and if they continue they will be locked. And then I let them go, follow them around for a bit and if they improve I leave them alone. But then most players flip out and swear at me, which is obviously expected.

I want to try and explain something to you:
The more you swear, over react and flip out at a staff member, the more you lose. If you stay calm, recieve their talk and no-longer harrase others you will not be locked.
Now if you are locked, deal with it... its an hour, go outside or something. Again if you flip out about a lock you will only recieve a longer one.

But I agree, a lot of people think they should be allowed to harass someone and get away with it, it's just dumb.

This gave me a idea, why can't et's go invisible. O.o

This would help them catch people that disobey rules. :3

A lot of ETs have proposed the idea, nothing has yet to be done.

Judging by the current staff roster, it would be abused far too often.

If they have the respect to at least not harass near a visible ET, then they don't deserve to be locked. If the harassed isn't reporting that they're being harassed, then it's there fault for refusing to PM a ET or something.

I have respect for Huwa but what he said was kinda hurtful and as for you..well you know my views.

I like the idea of invisibility but not really for this certain situation, I would like it for Events, and when Invisible, I think people should walk threw you also. ;) For Events, you could use this to find teamers, hiders, and healers(in battle, I read some of your rules.). But for abuse reasons should only be enabled for Deathmatch. The invisibility with harassment, would kinda be abused, and could lead to invasion of privacy, i.e. maybe a Boy, and a G.I.R.L.(Guy in real life) are talking to each other, and a invisible ET listens to the whole conversation for their enjoyment. (For you dirty minded people, its a regular conversation, and for hypothetical purposes lets say its about, what they did last Thursday on thanksgiving.)

That means, you need to hire sean. :3 Horrified doesn't play zone, so psh.

I doubt being invisible will do any good. If people start getting caught for stuff they will complain that they were setup and stuff by the ET regardless of the fact they actually did it.

As things are looking, it is a good idea, but there are many positive, and negatives as always, so I would like to ask when we will make the final decision of whether it should be added or not. ;)

Jail was suposed to be made like, a long time ago O.o.It was ''finished'' but never added I guess. Just like sniper. :3

That's like saying lock will be abuse. :3, You're overthinking it.

But there are other negatives.

Some people need to learn what exactly "harassment" is. I get spammed, followed, and commented on by one person and they say it isn't harassment. Yet I tell an ET that they eat babies because they told me to "f off" in game that is harassment and nothing happens to them?

Which ET is using this kinda of language to a player? Or are you being sarcastic if not, please either post it or forum PM, and I will bring it up in discussion, or forum pm it directly to *anubis_wing(Account, he is ET Chief currently).

Verbal Abuse
This, naturally, is not tolerated. If you start insulting someone over teamchat, PMs, whatever, then expect a warning. If you continue to disrupt another player or staff member you will be locked. No unsticking, no kicking. If you do not take note of your first warning you will be locked and STAY locked for the entire hour. Any apologies/begging after the locking will be disregarded.

Some guideline examples of the abuse that count as offenses are the following:

* Swearing excessively at an individual
* Making any amount of sexual remarks towards an individual
* Bashing the management via text/teamchat, mass messages, nicknames or any other method
* Making racist/prejudice remarks against others

I Would Be Fine With Ets Having This As Long As It Does Not Get Abused

Welll anyone can host, he may be valuable but that is not an exscuse. I don't even see him host. That's pure biased... If a cop kills someone the police chief doesn't say, oh well if he shoots you again tell me. The least I will do is warn him for now.

I don't know if this is just me or is this a bit biased? I understand... He is an ET so anything he does is legal! Sadly he doesn't even host much. I mean if a policeman goes up to someone they don't like and arrests them for no reason and then the police chief finds out I guarantee they won't get off with a "Oh well, he is a good cop!"...? Frieza, you were already mad at me for protesting mouse click at the beginning even though I am for getting rid of it. Not to mention I left your guild right before this incident occurred.
