As teams have chat, I thought since ETs are like a team, why not give them a chat! This is how it would work.

The command for the Chat will be:
/etchat <msg> : <msg> being the Message.

This would show up just like normal chat, except it should be in a different color like orange or something that stands out, so ETs can know its not regular team chat. The chat will show up to all, (Events Team) members, they must have there Tag on to see it. And also, it should be available to PAs too. I think this will help alot, as it will be a quicker way for MSG from ETs to get across, and also let ETs discuss matters privatley about Events, PA hirings, and such not.

We don't even use it much to begin with. Not only that but rather than making a useless function (useless because it already exists remember?), you can make it so that players can see mass/pm/guild bubbles on their gui somewhere so they know they have a mass/pm/guild message...

1) I always keep my Playerlist on the side just to see stuff ;)

2) In the past couple of days we've been using it (toguild) a lot. So maybe make it for off-tag too so we can chat about whos doing events, when, etc.

The problem is that on Zone there's nothing to alert you that you have recieved a PM/Mass/Guild message. I'm suggesting (and have suggested a lot of times in the past) a small bubble that lights up somewhere on the gui but obviously this has been overlooked for years...

There is the icon that flashes from graalhead to pm icon when you get a pm. That isn't good enough?

Can add a flashing icon (optionable) in game (for fullscreen) perhaps.

That's on the F7 list.

On normal servers there are minimaps which display heads that flash when you recieve a PM/mass/guild message. Zone doesn't have a minimap, obviously. There should just be a simple little pm bubble somewhere on the gui, its not so hard is it?

Forgot to ask, could you make it so when we use the command, the text above our head does not appear to anyone? When we do, /et <msg>, people can see it.

No, I meant the one that comes up everytime you open Graal. It's the little graal head by your clock in the bottom right hand corner of your screen.

And that's stupid, Desear. It's not like we're discussing secret stuff. If you really want people to not see what you're talking about and it's THAT important go on wildcross, close it, and talk there.

I have that disabled. Sides, back when I suggested it this little trayicon didn't exist.

yeah i noticed that when i do /et with a message i can't see it but other people can. Is there a way to stop them from seeing it?

I like Corno's idea, make it so a little pm bubble pops up on the gui, that way people wouldn't miss pms.

Wow, wierd how when dan hires 10 ets. All of a sudden they start to ''try'' and help zone out.And get active on zone.

On topic, where would this bubble that notifies you of PMs be placed exactly? I would like to see a visual, just a screen shot, and use paint shop to draw a circle where it will be.

You know I would never EVER say that cursed rewrite of "omg" and how much I loathe it. I was going to quit after I got past IXI because that's a couple month long project. Then puppy made me a PA on accident and then I log in and find that I'm a ET. Things changed?

But when a person says "I'm not going to be ET ever because i got Halo 3" And leave that the next day for the ET spot seems a bit wrong eh? ;)
