Rank symbols - ideas
 

I'm not sure if this idea has been suggested before, but I think that it would be nice if you could see the rank of people in the game, some icon above their head or so. Then team members would know who is skilled and could follow them, or you could show off with it. At the same time we could also add more ranks. We would only need some rank icons I guess, or display a number of stars or so.

I guess but just because you have a high rank doesn't have to mean you are skilled. Perhaps add a run your mouse over the person and it displays rank /spar rating /health? O.o that would be nice since you can already tell anyones health through the buddy list. Some people may not want that attention from that though. Other than that sounds good

it would be cool if u could turn it off and on too!

I like the Idea as long as it is optional if you wish to display it, or would it be forcefully displayed?

Also, this is out there but maybe you could use Light Effects to portray Legends? (White Aura, Black Aura, Ect. Kinda like the Plasma Sabre.)

Yes could be optional, could add a checkbox in the help window like for the guide

Well the idea about the the icon is good and maybe add health too? but adding more ranks, i think u should wait before putting any new ranks for now, as theres only couple people at top rank. Maybe whens there's a lil more add new ranks?..

The Aura idea has been around forever but it should require you to have a certain kill to death to get the aura for your rank :O!

Aura = ownage, But it might cause lag? Idk, Stefans be working alot lately to bring back zones population?

meh how bout you have to buy a little badge thing and if you do,, you can turn it on and it shows an aurua around you that changes according to ure rank :D

Is there any progress with this as of yet?

Also if you do add a Aura Effect will it be based on the Plasma Saber Colors if so that would be pretty cool, as long as it is a particle effect so it won't lag everyone to death.

We should use these medals in people's profiles, with an engraving of things like guns (for being on top 3 of a gun list. For example if someone is second with kv9, they'd have a silver medal with a kv9 engraved on it).

Or maybe make it an item and when fired, it has a little gani if your character holding it out. I suppose every single gani would be the same, just different graphic.

How about when you reach a certain rank you get a customized weapon or clothing or even a different way of holding your weapons, for example if you reach Elite you can get special access to clothing for your rank or you can hold your plasmasabre on your back or holding weapons differently.

Making people who supposedly earned that high rank stronger would be one of the stupidest things Zone has done.

A cosmetic prize would be more appropriate, if they have skill then they have no need for bonus strength

This medal thing is a good idea, but we shouldn't take it too far, making it better than other players. Maybe just keep it simple, make medal gfx for different ranks, optional off and on, and maybe that aura thing. Thats pretty cool ^^

On the subject of medals, sounds interesting, but Zone's survived fine with the statistics board to show how good people are for a while now...I don't think it needs it.

Nice idea! Players should be able to get medals when they get special types of kills like in Halo...!

Sorry agian for reviving this, but will this ever be implemented into the game, or has this been discarded?

To restate, the idea was we would make Symbols that appear in our profile or something to show our Rank.
Ex: Legend, would have something looking like this,
