Vista/Graal
 

Ok, So you haven't seen me on graal at all in a while, and it seemed like around the time that I reupgraded, graal was working against me. So I havent been able to get on any servers at all. So right now I'm kind of waiting on a version of graal thats compatable with Vista / my brother to FIX my graal ( i hope you see this. ) So if you're wondering why im not on for a while, you'll know :)

not really, pretty much everyone whos posted on the tech support with vista, is saying how bad graal works with vista. i cant even get on any severs.

I can't run the full length of the setup for Graal, but it's installed enough that I can play, albeit some graphics look like neon scribble or don't display at all. *shrugs*

that happens to me too, and when i try to minimize it i hit exit by mistake.
i cant get on ANY server :( and before when i could, i could only get on Gk .

Yeah well I suggest you get away from that crap windows and back to XP

Until Vista is compatible with everything I'm gonna stay with XP Media even with new computers, as long as they keep the discs in stores...

yeahhh i didnt want vista.. see my dad bought this computer , and he was like were getting vista bc its better than everything else so be quiet and i was like NOOO I WANT XPPPPPPP .. so i have to live with it ;/

Frankly your dad's a idiot. Does he read? Because it sounds like he can't or he would know of all the problems people are having with Vista.

well he doesnt really agree with graal , so he doesnt care. he thinks that soon everythings going to be good with vista and everyones gonna want it and all this stuff .

Plain and simple. The haven't released a Vista compatable version of Graal yet. SO the problems will keep happening until this is done.

Will never happen. The only solution is to upgrade to Windows XP.

I really doubt he plays games like Graal or ones that HAVE a problem with Vista, so why would he be reading information about people having problems with games..

Because of the problems Vista has on it's own without games.

well no, considering im 13, all my friends are 13 and 14. plus if i installed it , id be like grounded from the computer for forever bc this is my dads computer .

I believe a Vista friendly version will get released soon because more and more people within the graal population are getting Windows Vista installed and we all know Vista does not run well with graal, so if graal wants people to reupgrade or get new players they will have to make Vista compatible with graal.

ROFL, yea you tell me when they fix the compatibility issues with that, because then I Might just be lucky enough to get some support for XP x64.

Its 2007, seriously, I don't want to wait until 2010 to get a stable graal client...

I wish you the best of luck getting a copy of XP that can play Graal. Your dad IS an idiot. No one should buy a new Microsoft operating system until its already outdated. In a few more months you can probably expect the 90 virus a week parade (Yes, early in XP's life I clocked over 90 virus attempts in a single week with the computer just sitting on a DSL connection without doing anything. You know, back then when Norton was actually good.)

You could just goto newegg and buy a copy of Windows XP. O.o

When was Norton ever good? It's done nothing but cause problems and slowdowns to everyone I know that has used it.

Yeah, the only good virus scanner i've used is Avast...which is what I still use today.

Best thing to do, is show him how much it sucks by how they take up half your freakin' screen on the right with some huge clock and huge calender (which when I had it, COULD NOT BE REMOVED, picture it like the Graal v5 dockable playerlist, except bigger and useless), how the only game I know that will actually WORK WELL with vista is Halo II, which you can easily get a copy of that actually HAS a single player campaign, on, y'know, a game system or XP.

Overall, everything is less customer-friendly, and mostly downright ugly. Stick with a Mac or upgrade to XP.
