Bounty increase

Some times, people go out on to the Gmap and randomly lounge about for hours on end, either hiding or talking. But as they do it they gain a considerable amount of bounty from basicly doing nothing. I think that something could be done to make it a bit harder to cheat your bounty up.

Query: Why not put in a script that makes your bounty stop if you are inactive. Take for instance, if you was on the Alpha gmap hiding with (A) held down for 10 hours, you wouldn't get no bounty. A way to stop this without totally taking the increase over time system would be to only make your bounty go up as normal, but if it has been a certain amount of time since you've killed someone it stops, if not, starts to fall.

Oh, and don't forget to use the Rep system, for good or evil, judging on how you like the idea. ;)

bahamutstevetff 07-03-2007 11:05 AM

i think bounty should be stricty down to kills, and not go up at all from idling.

HitmanJ2XX 07-03-2007 03:41 PM

The system SEEMS fine, but exploits can blow it all to hell. I propose that bounty be based on ranks, kills, hp, and time. Now doing the rank part would be hard, but the rest can be easy. With rank I don't know how to put it. Should a new recruit have the high or low end? (Read on to understand)
But anyways, use the time that the player was alive combined with their amount of hp left at the others' time of death, throwing in how fast they killed a certain amount of people. It sounds complicated but isn't.
How long you live(d)+How many people you killed+Amount of HP after killing+Rank
Not exactly that operation, but the general idea. I'll figure it out after some feedback.

I think that it is fine as it is. People rarely do this an even if they do make it onto the boards like Skyler10 did, they are removed.

They wasted so much time just sitting there I don't care if they get a high bounty it just means more risk for them and they have no life becaues they sit there for bounties...

jin lamed trials, conor gliitched so he was hovering therefore couldnt be shot and mortared bases.

a bounty like that takes a long time to get though. I remember helping freeze conor because he wouldn't stop and the ET's got mad.

Dante55555 07-04-2007 12:44 AM

Most, if not all bountys about 2500 were only achieved by laming. Like take Jin for example, got people to go on trials and let him kill them constantly

Crono 07-04-2007 06:36 AM

you cant just randomly change it...

Blaxshadow 07-04-2007 07:31 AM

The bounty system seems fine, as long as people don't abuse it:whatever:

Dante55555 07-04-2007 09:41 PM

Oh yeah, because people on zone have a natural talent for sticking to the rules

bahamutstevetff 07-05-2007 08:31 AM

bounty started getting pathetically high after the spar room came out ^^=

Ravenblade1979 07-05-2007 10:28 PM

ppl seem to like it as is...so just leave it.

bahamutstevetff 07-05-2007 10:59 PM

The people who said make the bounty stop overtime and decrease care if someone obtained a high bounty unfairly.

Leoxx 07-06-2007 08:45 PM

you can only hope to improve, xD

If only it was that easy.

Leoxx 07-06-2007 09:19 PM

alls you have to do is go to koth, press E, find his nick, find his nick with F7, and see where he is.

Yes but there's the 100% chance that they would run or even log.

Still can't belive you all are still aguring over this. If they run get on a ****ing trial and convice them your a noob and make them fight you, If they log ****ing place ****ing proxys down if they go on a trial fight that off >.>

I do that.. But some of the more smart (You can obviously see using the word smart a bit loosely here) noobs actually log onto a trial that they have, make sure that the area is clear that they logged in, then log back on. If there are people, mines or its near the end of battle they wont log back on.

Hwoarang 07-07-2007 02:03 AM

But here's where you trick them. Fake the message "You don't have ammo blahblahblah" then say ****! when you really had them and placed them down around where he logged. then after that say **** it have your bounty its almost 100% he'll go back on it and walk into it.

Dante55555 07-07-2007 02:05 AM

Sounds like a full proof plan.. Sept what if hes not a m0r0n..

Hwoarang 07-07-2007 04:03 AM

Then do what i said. Its solid ive got a few people with 200 bounty(s) that way.

Dante55555 07-07-2007 03:24 PM

Heh, if they go through so much lengths to keep thereselves from loosing there bounty than they are pathetic anyway, and if you kill them or not, you've already won because you aren't the one who's scared of dieng on a game :D. I honestly don't care, bounty or no, i play graal the same. SUICIDLE!

*suicidal

It's fine the way it is. Sometimes there are so few people playing that all there is to do is run around for an hour until you find somebody to kill (or you could log off, but that's beside the point).

Tracker180 07-08-2007 04:52 AM

make it hit-based, like make it based on how much damage you do like a tenth of the damage you deal? unless ure a medic because they'd just hit, heal, hit, heal, hit, heal, kill, heal, hit, heal

Darkdemon452 07-08-2007 10:56 AM

If a person waits out on Alpha for so long, as to get a high bounty....they deserve it! >:O
