Graal Online Stationary? New Logo!
 

Greetings!

I am happy to announce we are not selling paper and envelopes.

However, we are in the process of creating a new, more simple, logo.

The logo will need to be usable in many different ways, for example:
Stationary
Newsletters
Banners
Favicon

This is going to be a company logo!

Think how a tri-force immediately brings Zelda to mind, or maybe AOL if you were deprived of video games. The AOL "A" is a good example also. It must be a symbol of G.O. (That's Graal Online, to the newbies.)

Here is the interesting part: YOU can help design this logo!

Have you got what it takes to beat the web developers?

Throw out ideas, draw mockups, even finished Photoshop masterpieces are welcome in this thread!

Remember, it must be a universal logo, suitable for multitudes of uses.

I want to get the player's ideas and designs so the logo will be appealing :)

While we do need a logo I would think better developer tools and content would come first. I mean a logo can only do so much the game has to do the rest.

Well a Logo is fun to judge while Stefan codes new dev tools...?

My Idea is that we use a G3D styled Graal with the heads of Classic, Kingdoms/Zone and 3D in a triangle shaped around it.

Hmm, well a grail isn't the most interesting thing to make a logo out of...
I wish Graal would have one simple shape that was really defining.

Anyways, a "G" inside of an "O" is about the simplest I can think of.

That doesn't really represent Graal as a whole though.

Yeah, I'm not sure there's any kind of picture that'd represent Graal and the diversity of gameplay each server has. I personally think we should stick with a text logo, with a nicer font type.

As for products, well they could come in variety of server. I'm a Classic player, and I know I'd never buy a Kingdoms mug, but the sad fact is that's how Graal is currently marketed.

Well, I just meant that pic only shows the Classic part. There should be a way to show Classic, Zone, and Kingdoms.

If you ask me, we shouldnt represent GK to the public...

I dunno, I sort of miss the old "Green Arc" Graal logo that we had before this recent one. It was simple, and sort of fit in.

Here is something I came up with quickly. The triangle represents zone,classic and gk.

A big "G.O." would be really, well, dull. Something that shows a little bit of what Graal has to offer, then a big sexy "Graal Online" would look hot

Recurring issue: Graal is too diverse to have A Logo.
Are we talking Graal as the Development Environment? So like the Java guy?
Graal as in Kingdoms, as the website currently is fashioned?
Graal as in a collection of disparate worlds?
Graal as in a collection of Official servers with some hosted playerworlds?

Each theory offers a different "logo"...

Combines Cyberjoueurs and GraalOnline together. I like! :D

Methinks Luda has the Definitive Logo, but it isn't as Iconic as, say, a triforce...
and I doubt we could get away with appropriating the ying yang...
we need something like the Hudson Software Bee, a simple mascot...
or something simple and geometric but definitive, something you see all the time and go "wtf, the Heart album has a triforce on it?"

Well why not do something that like luda's that has a bit of zone/gk since they are gold servers and then a bit of verything else also. I vote for a complete website makeover since theming the server on gk seems a bit farfetched to me if you catch my drift from something other than my account name. How about posting pluffy and make a story behind that? Seems like a fun idea. I would definetely jump to play graal if I saw a pluffy. I would die laughing well I would think I would ^^

Who made the current one anyways, and who the hell are those characters. I've never seen them in Graal at all.

The guy on the farthest left is a character based on Stefan.

Oh, and since noone responded to my idea, I'll pretend noone knows what I meant so I'll clarify:

Fung Si Yan should be the Graal symbol, as he already has been for a long time. Fung Si Yan is the name of the character of head0 also known as the "n00b" look... The current Graal icon uses half of his head and half of the "Stefan" head...
