How long is to long?

How long do you think is to long to enjoy actually playing a game like this..

I have found out that usually the playing aspect of Graal leaves my interest when my real life responsibilities increase.

Other than that I can't say I have really ever grown out of logging on Graal and playing for an 30 minutes to an hour when I can.

warp2ukew 03-08-2007 04:49 AM

If you have to ask, too long.

Googi 03-08-2007 04:50 AM

Longcat long.

You don't stop playing because you grow old, you grow old because you
stop playing. - Moonie lol If you still have fun playing graal why stop?

warp2ukew 03-08-2007 05:24 AM

If Moonie says it, you know it's wrong. She is WAY too old for this game.

Inspiration 03-08-2007 05:33 AM

I've always treated Graal sort of like AIM or MSN. I mean it doesnt require any real time to play, I just sort of use it as a communications device. I don't see any reason to stop logging on when I'm bored.

Draenin 03-08-2007 05:34 AM

I don't think that you can play any game for too long if you really enjoy it. The only exception being if you don't eat or use the bathroom because of it. People who go to that extreme make themselves unhealthy doing that.

Dizturbed 03-08-2007 06:34 AM

I suppose if you're younger, you can tolerate longer periods of gameplay, such as a few hours. I noticed as I get older, I drift away from games steadily and I tend to have spurts of maybe 1 hour sessions of gameplay or maybe 30 minutes. But to answer your question, I think that playing over 4 hours continually is excessive.

SayianOozaru 03-08-2007 10:38 AM

Graal's a game to me. Just like ps2, or xbox, etc. Most games get boring, but after not playing them for awhile, when you just play it for the hell of it, it starts to get pretty cool again...until you burn it out again...For me the process repeats itself frequently. I'll play for maybe 3-4 months, then take a month or 2 off because i get bored. Its boring doing the same **** over and over again.

Crono 03-08-2007 10:38 AM

graal is more of a community based game than a LETS PLAY type of game...so as long as something is happening thats of any interest it's hard for it to get too boring.

SayianOozaru 03-08-2007 10:44 AM

Well I only play on Zone....so you should understand why it gets boring, crono. >_<

Haha, alright Zone doesn't count. :P

There aren't enough hours in a day for me to enjoy one hour of this game, I only re-installed it to be nice for 2 seconds to prove that Vista is still having problems with Graal, and helping out to fix the problem where I could.

Years ago when I was 13 or whenever I started Graal, I was still at school, and loved this game, but I was a noob and it was best then :)

I didn't stop completely. I still love the gameplay, just not some of the people.

That is true, and my "opinion" is that I get to decide when/if I am too old to play. The fact is that if I enjoy it, and there is no rule against it, then I am not too old to play. :)

hampy 03-08-2007 05:53 PM

Graal sucks but there are no other good games out there either :( pm me good games plx :)

That's a poor system, in my opinion. Let's pretend I enjoy murder, but there's a law against it (which there is). Does that mean I enjoy it any less? Only that I cannot enjoy it or I suffer consequences.

And ya'll needa get off darelne. Yes, she used to annouy me alot, because she did her job, but thats no reason to go around calling her old. ****, if I wanted to I'd be playing until I was bored of Graal aswell. To me Graal's like a video game. ANYONE can play it. Even though they'll stop once it gets boring.

Or I could do the same and say that all of you over 18 are to old to be playing a game like Graal.

Uh, I think murder and playing a game are two different things. What I said applies to playing games. I don't know what in the world you are thinking....:\

But what if murder is a game to someone?

Spark910 03-08-2007 07:22 PM

I grew out of logging on and actually playing a long time ago. Like 2 years after I came to graal. Probably due to my global job, although at the time I didn't really play any server other than Era and it would have eventually worn off.

Right, which is funny because I don't recall comparing them.

True Story. He used it as an example of gaming which is not comparing at all.

And I believe you become too old when you pay attention to your graal job (serverwise, globalwise) more than you do your real job...*cough* *cough* unless that is if graal is you're only job...then well, i feel very sorry for you...

Get over it, or don't. I will be here for awhile, atleast until I decide to leave.

I didn't know everything was always about you...I guess you failed to miss the "Serverside/globalside" aspect in my previous statement. I don't believe you're a global nor do you work on a server? You're an administrator on the forums... I could have not even been referring to you at all. Ever think of that? Once again please read what I type...to the full extent. Thank you

Edit: Nice way to try and edit what you wrote...but i already responded to what you previously said so this post is legit i believe.

DustyPorViva 03-08-2007 10:46 PM

My grandfather plays Socom and Zelda O.o

I don't know why you continuously attack me, but I edited my post becouse I misunderstood it, and thought you were talking to me, then realized you might not be.

Because you take away from what this community used to be. Yeah i know you're "doing your job" but having an iron fist sucks. Let us have fun...you're too serious and I feel that you do not keep up with the new culture of today so you often feel a lot of stuff is offensive and you fail to understand sarcasm i believe...=/

I got tired of playing Graal around Feb 05. About the time I started living on my own. The low playercount and being too tired to log in kept me off of it. One of those 2 reasons reduced my gameplay to just a few hours a month.
