Another installemnt of Graal Ideas (RP Wise)
 

Well this time It's about the afterlife and the great gods of the land

First I'll start off with the Gods since the afterlife will have to do with gods at one part of time.

There should be only 4 gods, Each god has a different element in which they command and only 1 element. Gods should have a very high Hit Point count. (maybe in the thousands at first)
Each God should have a temple and shrine for which the people can worship and pray from/at. God's have the power to aid and help his worshipers however they cannot interfer all the time. For a god to stay a god and have his power. His followers must atleast worship and pray or give thanks to him to keep him strong. If nobody worships or prays for their god the god gets weak and becomes moral. (losing his speical form which i'll explain later) The gods can choose which element they want at the beginning but cannot go back and change (stuck with it forever) These are the elements: God of the Land, God of the Sea, God of the Dead, God of the Sky.

The spells for each god must be very different other than a raise dead spell/power. Gods also can fight amoung each other for control and If his follows wish they may help their god on the plain which gods walk apon. Each god could have their own very large personal form in which people can see what their god looks like. Each form should follow what type of element they are: Land could be a sort of Lion or Tree, Sea could be a fish or a water elemental, Death could be a demonic looking creature with horns, and Sky could be a bird of some sort. This may sound like Black and White alittle but hell Black and White is the best god genre type game around and when you talk about gods everything sounds like black and white now. Poeple may also kill other gods but not by mere mortal weapons. They must use either some sort of honorable weapon or magic. If a player kills a god he should get some sort of large bonus =). God's also can goto the human realm to help them but this mana/or power source will drop every second for each mana (1 sec = -1 mana) when the god reaches 0 mana he is forced back into the God's Realm. God's may only enter if enough of his followers pray for him to come.
Of course theres aways someone that says: "HEY j0! I WANT TO BE A GOD SO I CAN ROX0R EVERYONE!" Gods should be either choosen by Stefan (Grastefal God of all Gods :D ) or Someone from the RPC.


Now time for the Afterlife part.
At times someone always is gunna die either by fighting, poison or some n00bs killer which will get killed anyways. But if you want to bring them back to the land of the living you must cast a raise dead spell or use a life potion. When a player dies he is sent to a afterlife either hell or heaven or just something that is a afterlife. Players can take the dead bodys of player and put them in a tomb or crypt maybe even a grave, untill they can bring him back. Somebody might say "HEY j0, TIS SUX I AINT BE HAV'IN ANY SPELL TO BRING MY DED BRO BACK OR POTIONS!!!! DIS SUX0RS!" Theres still hope if you cant bring them back by Potion or Spell you can pray to your god to bring him back. Now of course some n00b has died and is sent into the afterlife, He might say this "HEY j0 DIS BE SUXIN I AINT BE HAVIN NOTHIN TO DO IN DIS HEREAFTER!!" Well, You can venture back to the land of the leaving by walking into a deep dark cavern which is long dark and filled with monsters, and the only way you can return is if you don't get reaped(killed again) by the monsters or you'll be sent out of the cavern having to start all over again, you can wait or play some sort of mini-game in the afterlife, maybe if its possiable beable to watch your kingdom threw some sort of magical mirror.

Also one more thing about myself in the RP realm. I am a demon ghost which is already dead. Since I'm already dead I can slip in and out of the afterlife however the draw back is when I go into the afterlife (by being killed again) I can return within a few seconds but both my life force and mana will be droped along with experiance. Along with that maybe even being allowed to have a weaker class spells in which the god of death can have. Of course this could be a little unfair, In which is this just a option.

Also about kings/leaders of each kingdom. They should be allowed to have spells and swords but not the best of both worlds like medium spell power and medium sword or just have full spell power and weak sword or the other way around. As well they should have atleast a extra 50 hitpoints and 25 mana point


I think this could finish up this idea for today. Remember all these ideas fit within the other ideas I have posted. And this is just my 2 cents =)

But, Ghost Pirate, about your role for yourself, in that case, any character should be able to have the one time option of being an undead, after which they can't change, but if we have special RP events an admin might make a character an undead if, for example, some mysterious curse is placed on them in an event.

(Blasphemy is when you say something that would beoffensive to the idea of the existance of God, or suggest the existance of other Gods. But, when I think of it, I don't think it would be wrong to have Gods of Graal. Hopefully. [gulp])

The God of the Dead should be allowed to change welling souls to be undead

I really don't like the idea of "gods" in graal.. I don't play graal to go to church, or have a religion there.. I don't think we should bring spirits and gods and that type of stuff into the game.

Some people would be offended, and some wouldn't mind.. still, I don't think gods need to be a part of graal.. there are better ways to make rp quests then by using gods.

Gods should be the Admins of the RP realm

Yeah, that's better. All characters are normal by default but the God of Death can make people undead if they wish it.

Maybe even give him/her a magical ability to slowly make unwilling people undead.

Of course, some people don't like it, but honouring that roleplaying system is wholly optional. :)

I think it sounds neat, although I'm not sure if it could
be done really to THAT effect.

My ideas are just ideas you can disregard them at anytime However I do which they become to a feature since it might addon to the RP expriance

If someone gets offended because there are gods in a game, they are a very sad person.

+ Kingdom should only be allowed to worship one god (wouldnt be fair to have all the gods aiding you) And maybe people can have Holy Wars on which god they want to worship

Of course if you don't want to worship or pray to a god you don't have too

Really good ideas but I doubt Graal could support it. I mean some people would never be resurrected due to the current status of graal ("IE HAIT JOO")

And some people would just go around and act stupid

I believe it would go like this

The gods are people of course
but they can choose who to res and who to not prayers are recorded and since to a god (i.e. a graal mailbox) when he/her comes on and I bet if some n00b says "HEI JO I DIED PLZ RES ME GOD" the god won't res him however "I pray to you my lord, bring me back to the living. My chapter in the book of ages isn't over yet. I still have things to be done. My lord, I pray to you." might

Well true. But to do this Graal needs much more (Powerful scripting commands, less stupid people, less hate or to óther both on forums and in games)

If I were God, I'd say "I'll resurrect you when you learn to not be so melodramatic. Jesus." :rolleyes:

I'd think everybody would want overwhelming power (atleast corrupt people) but thats why if you dont worship your god he'll soon die out and become mortal again.
