Malak's continued RPing comment:

(Malak)

Yay, Stefan has new ideas! And they're TOP SECRAT ideas! Let me guess; hmm, oh, I know! Is it a new AND IMPROVED CTF?!??! OR OH, OH! I KNOW! IT MUST BE A SUPER DUPER EXTRA LONG COPS AND ROBBERS EXPANSION PACK GRAAL VERSION BETA OMEGA BANA FANA FO BEGA ME MI MO MEGA 2002!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Look, Stefan; if you want to fix the part of Graal2001 that attracts your more intelligent people (RolePlayers), or otherwise known as the people who aren't souly interested in spending 24 hours on Graal just to earn fake money and buy a stupid animal that follows them everywhere and says stolen catchphrases (luv 4 merlin and capusa!!111 etc), then you have to let some of the REAL RolePlayers of graal2001 to help you. Get a bunch of guys like TrueHeat, Hiryuu and Tyne (and many others) working for you, who can come up with the perfect way to make Graal2001 an equally divided world of both enjoyable gaming, and RolePlaying. I'm sorry, but we've all seen your top secret ideas, and so far, they've all been crap.

Please don't ban this account for my opinion. Tyne was good enough to let me use this account, since Unixmad banned my Malak one for standing up for Drakaden.

Thanks,

Andrew Dennis

(Tyne) - I AM GOING SWIMMING NOW LOALZ!!1

Merlin 07-11-2001 04:10 AM

standing up for drakkaden while posting pictures of your

LordAzeroth 07-11-2001 04:11 AM

(Tyne)

Too bad he showed a picture of his butt in a completely different
topic Merlin, sir smarts!
He wasn't banned for that because Unixmad and Stefan didn't
see it anyways, he was banned for standing up for Drakaden!

psihunter 07-11-2001 04:15 AM

I disagree, roleplaying is facilitated more than enough, we don't need more beaurocracy for it, all we need is willing characters.

Malak, I'm sorry but the majority of Graalians don't want to roleplay. Roleplaying has only been succesful because the ones who do want to are the loudest.

Huggles 07-11-2001 04:26 AM

Graal is not a Roleplaying thing...

Kingdoms dont belong in a server like Graal2001....

and if you went to alot of other RPG's you'll find roleplaying people will be few.... but its always fun to roleplay on roleplay servers......

Captain USA, it is offensive. I admit it. But I'll also continue to offend you by calling you a complete and utter mentally disabled fool if you actually think that the majority of Graal 2001's players are smart, mature people. The forums themselves are proof enough that the population usually can't think of anything more intelligent to say than 'rofl' or 'your ***'.

Gameo 07-11-2001 04:38 AM

TrueHeaT:
Actually I think Graal2001 is built perfectly for roleplaying the way the towns etc are layed out and stuff but =\

LordAzeroth 07-11-2001 04:40 AM

(Tyne)

The layout is good, but there is too much other crap.

FatherDante 07-11-2001 04:41 AM

I usually heed people's advice less when they choose to be insulting in their manner of presenting it, Malak.

Now, what thread am I going to post in after this...

Gameo 07-11-2001 04:41 AM

TrueHeaT: I WILL MAKE ONE FOR YOU TO

LordAzeroth 07-11-2001 04:52 AM

(Tyne)

Gameo is mean and stupid. :(

LordAzeroth 07-11-2001 04:57 AM

(Malak)

Dante, I'm glad you replied with something more intelligent than 'no ur ***'. I don't know you, but now respect you.

But, I'll still continue my argument. You're very right. They don't want to RolePlay. They want to have fun playing CTF and the rest to get their money's worth. But, wait a second. Isn't Stefan supposed to be like this nice guy that always does nice things for his players, to keep them happy and willingly paying for his hard work? And, the RolePlayers are paying customers, right? And as such, they deserve something that will keep them constantly coming back for more, and constantly sending Stefan his bling bling. All of the people that I've known to be the most excellent Graal RPers ever have, I believe, all stopped trying to RP on there, because of how many of their ideas turned into crap. It's not like it's all Stefan's fault, or that he did anything purposely; it's just that there's no proper way to intertwine Graal2001 with RolePlaying. The only solution to the major problem is to create a playerworld, like Valikorlia, meant for RolePlaying. Providence would be perfect. However, unlike the neglectance Valikorlia received, this playerworld would need to have just as much talented programming skill put into it as Graal2001 has. Then it can have all of the special features that properly fit into the story and way of RolePlaying. It's not REALLY needed, but if you have talent like Stefan's put into a RolePlaying use, it can make things even more fun, all considering more realism and the etcetera.

LordAzeroth 07-11-2001 04:57 AM

(Malak)

True, the layout can be accomplished anywhere. Graal2001 just has the talent on its side, because people with the talent like to suck up to the people with more talent, and so on. :-)

General 07-11-2001 06:00 AM

ROFL YOUR ***!!!

Slaktmaster 07-11-2001 06:08 AM

Malak is kewl, roleplaying is kewl.

Calling someone *** without a reason is extremely stupid.

i find you to be offensive to me

you annoy me more than most people here, always acting nice and never saying anything that may make you stick out.

i don't care. if i don't like someone i am going to say it. the people who don't roleplay are basically the people who go around pking saying "lol", "u", "ur" and acting stupid.

malak is right, the intelligent people are the ones who are roleplaying. of course there are a few exceptions.

Admins 07-11-2001 08:05 AM

Malak I find your post quite offensive,
saying that all my work is crap just because
it is fun stuff and not role-playing stuff
which can be boring too if you don't want
to role-play.

I said its secret because it needs to be secret,
otherwise people like you will make it down
before it is even half-done.

I know that the Graal2001 is not really done
for the kingdoms, it was meant to be a place
for events and stuch stuff, although i don't
think that role-playing needs any special
place. Those castles and stuff are more needed
for the people who cannot concentrate
and need something to own to remember what
role they play.

He didn't say all your work is crap, he complimented you in many
ways also, he's just sick of the Mini-Games.

What we need is a good Roleplaying server so 2001 can focus
on the Events and such, they both can't fit without universes
crashing into eachother, super nova's exploding, and planets
burrowing into eachother!

Mini games are way better then old graal, Graal Classic I mean.. I think they are great... Kingdoms are the newbies that came in, they cant overtake the oldbies meaning Graal 2001 games.....

Gameo, your abrasiveness hurts a lot of peoples' feelings.

CORPSE, who is easily among the most intelligent people I know, is also a proud non roleplayer. I don't think it's at all fair to marginalize people on something that reflects so little.

I wish people weren't so accustomed to insulting others, subtly or otherwise. :\

Admins 07-11-2001 08:36 AM

I think events can fit, you can have role-playing events,
sports, kingdoms who are fighting against each
other in an organized friendly form instead of
just constantly using swords / magic (on UO).
In the antique and in the medieval age they had many
events, just because the emporers/kings were bored.

The minigames were needed because you
can't always change the whole world just
because of some fun idea, then it's better to
make a place dedicated to it and separated from
the main world.

Admins 07-11-2001 08:39 AM

Oh yes I think there are many intelligent
people who are tired when they come home
and want to play some fun game where you
don't need to care about rules and need
to concentrize and work to make everything
perfect to fit your role.
If both groups of people could live
together in one world then things would
probably be the best, the people who have more
time can spend on making the environment
more complex than just hack&slay&chat,
while the people who want to have fun
could be hired as soldier or worker or
could go in a town and play a music instrument
for money

Kings and emporers only allowed people from their
country to compete in their events or allied countrys,
not the whole world. :)

i really don't care if it hurts.
people should use their brains, and i'm sick of captain usa always being so nice and never giving any negative opinions on anything.

corpse is very smart, that's why i said "of course there are some exceptions"

LordAzeroth 07-11-2001 08:43 AM

People who walking into town with a Saxophone
and start playing are usually slaughtered though,
which makes things agravating.

We do need more rp'ing though....

just think about it

ALL the kingdoms are almost alike...

All have royalty blah blah etc.

OUTLAWS!

brad, bring Outlaws into Karakaze, so we can both grow into the greatest Bandit nation!

LordAzeroth 07-11-2001 08:50 AM

What we need are some people who have NPC's
only they can use, and are picked by admins,
Like a group of bandits that have a steal NPC
that only they can use, but bandits can only
steal with their guildtag on, and there are
only so many of them (like 10).

Something to make players unique amoung
eachother!
