Delteria Adventures
 

While browsing the forums, Crono replied to a thread in the Graal2001 section in regards to some trees that Konidias made. In Crono's post, he compared the trees to those on Delteria. Well, I decided I had to find these trees myself, and logged on. Here is my adventure:

I logged on, and wandered around for a little while. I was pretty scared at first because the seasons kept changing, from spring to winter, I could have swore the apocalypse was near. After I gathered my nerves (and found out I was carrying an awesome balloon NPC), I decided to continue on, so I began my trek north... but wait, Something is wrong with my movement! Oh, how clever, a scripter tried to create a slippery movement system which sort of disobeys basic laws of physics. Oh well, I'll just consider them super powers. I continue, hit some bizarre warp field and was taken on a magical journey and visited some cliffs. I broke out my mountain climbing equipment, and managed to escape back to the onlinestartlocal.

My trek east was far more promising. I ran to a lake, and found Mr. Glub Glubs vessel and boarded it, in hopes of some pirate hijinks but not a soul was around. Oh well. I continue east, and crossed a lake, and I must of hit a whirlpool, as I was warped to a new location. Here I found a Black Stallion, and we rode off into the sunset, across deserts, mountains, the ocean (quite literally). We rode to the end of the earth.

Hehe, I was referring to Delteria Dev's trees not the public one.

That would explain why I didn't find any of these trees you were talking about.

I don't believe I've ever seen the trees being referred to, myself. I kinda like those snow tiles though.

I don't know why but somehow I see a PadLock in the near future of this thread.

Oh maximus, such an adventure is nothing compared to my own. On my one and only trip to Delteria I bestowed upon a weapon which turned me into a Super Saiyan! You didn't find the diamonds, you've clearly missed out. Oh, that and the cyber police that magically appeared infront of me and attempted to take me down, it didn't happen though :redface: I was in a no dying zone! :p

That's always a good thing. =)

Even though it's cleverly disguised, a keen eye may be able to see through the story and find the attack on Delteria and the attempt at getting it off the classic list.

Interesting adventure. Pretty okay looking snow tileset as well.

it kept turning summer to winter because they level you where in (the summer one) was using a different tileset than the others, it uses the revered republic's tileset, whatever the hell that is. the wintertileset didnt replace that tileset, just the pics1.

Just people who work on a daily basis, actually. Excluding any player-testers of course.

the horse walked on water because he was either using using the ssj npc, or he was abusing a glitch ;)

or he just happened to walk upon a glitch even though glitches should exist.

Actually, I was able to walk on water with the horse because of the scripted winter movement. I would explain how (it is fairly easy to figure out) but that would encourage bug abuse.

This thread had no real purpose, I wasn't trying to get it (Delteria) removed from the serverlist (but one has to wonder why it is still up).

No it wouldn't, because they're making a new one anyway. It would really be the logical thing to do, like in late 2001 when they shut it down for a little while and re-released the one we see today.

but the few players (like myself) would have nothing to do til then. i dont play any other server besides delteria and gk

Except you know thats not exactly the reason we "shut down". Anyway I don't really see what taking us off the classic list would accomplish aside from moving the few regular players we have to another server, and removing our occasional event that gets a few dozen people on.

Last time I went on Delteria the GP's swore at me :( they added racial slurs too!

Maybe a tad, a couple dozen might be a better number. About once a month we get around 20-30 people for a spar tournament or something the like.

around DST it can reach 40, and when suo started releasing his ssj and bird npc, there was almost 50

Maybe back in 2005 lol but this is 2007 buddy, people don't even know what DST is anymore. In fact people barely go anywhere else to spar except Unholy Nation. Unless graal has had a whole big change while Ive been gone a entire what 1 or 2 months?

no there was that many people, back in december. hold on, ill see if i took any screenshots.

Back in december i was asking why some playerworlds had zero players online, and Delteria was among one of them. :/

and the releasing of player drawing npcs was probably a reply to that.

So Delteria did the same thing that 50 odd people ridiculed Malinko for doing?

Not really. Every DST I've participated in since the summer has had over 30 players.
