Allow gifs as avatars.

Pretty simple request really, I don't see why not.

Why would filesize become an issue? For one, there is a filesize limit and two, you can host the image on a different site and link it.

The option for animated avatars was there before... I think it was disabled when the forum got upgraded.

Hmmm may be it is disabled by default to reduce the load time of pages? Also Firefox is taking a lot of CPU for displaying animated gifs.

I really don't see a problem here, the forum allows you to upload .gif and .jpg, as well as add a link from another server...
