Check this out. Crits needed please.

Butz 05-29-2006 04:40 AM

Again, like with your McDonald's post, there's a general lack of detail and shading.

killerogue 05-29-2006 04:43 AM

Thank you Butz. I like but I will add shading and some more detail with the windows. IT's a SO FAR image. ^^

Goboom 05-29-2006 06:49 AM

Stay away from the black outlines if at all possible too.

lancelot9 05-29-2006 07:02 AM

yeah.. and repitition

ive noticed that the top right corner is red in all the sections, top left blue, and the white circle is pretty repetitive aswell...
Maybe make an image outta it.. instead of just squares and circles make them organic and form something

and boy does my toe hurt.. landed on it wrong 2 weeks ago.. still kills.

killerogue 05-29-2006 03:39 PM

XD Hope that feels better Lance. Actually I was going to put a holy image in each of those circles.

No, I seriously mean thanks. That helped me a lot. :) Something more I need help with actually. There will be tiles to go with the church theme to somewhat style of Sicily buildings and I need a bit of assistance if you will?

Magadal 05-29-2006 06:21 PM

No sorry, I only do something like that if I am bored and got enough time.

In church's, they always have interesting windows, with people and so on. So copying and pasting a view squares will look odd :P

Well, that depends on the type of church. Some sects don't allow images inside the churches, so their stained glass windows (if any) ARE just geometrical shapes.

But yes, variety is always good.

Didn't feel like doing the whole image. But, here's an example of how you can make it look a little more like glass.

Yall take things way too seriously. I wouldn't fire Elk for that. In fact, I guesse I kind of deserve it for what I said about his use of black lines in another thread.

Tyrial 05-30-2006 09:11 PM

No.

Myomoto 05-30-2006 09:48 PM

Use more saturated colors, they are so much nicer and relaxing to look at.

killerogue 05-31-2006 05:02 AM

I'm pretty new to GFX. I don't know all these new fangled terms.

Well lets try to explain then...its the color thingy of MS Paint, I do everything with Paint...
The black highlighted colors are to bright/to gray for church windows...I hope you get what I want to tell you.

killerogue 05-31-2006 11:56 PM

Aah, I understand. Thank you Magadal.
