Hi.

So there are four worlds on the Hosted tab.

Aeon
Endora
Zenkou
Zodiac

Exodus is included in the bunch as well, from what I know, though since it's not visible, I won't add it to the list, YET.

ANYWAYS, so what worlds should be on the Hosted tab? I just want opinions, just don't name the world that you bought, but seriously, mention a world you think should be on the Hosted tab, which has potential. Also, mention if you think it's Classic worthy! ;);)

I think Zenkou is over worthy on Hosted, and defernately worthy of Classic tab when it is completed, there is ALOT of potential on Zenkou and it's undergoing good work.

Endora, that has just gotten to the Hosted tab, as the owners are friends, i wont be harsh, but the server does'nt offer much as of yet, but i see potential as they are making rapid progress.

Id like to see babylon and Eden on their, main reason i want to see Eden there, is so more players see it, and when servers are on hosted, they gain more attention, therefor giving Eden a nice flow of players and hopefully new staff to develop such a nice server.

Out of interest, what is the perpose of the "Hosted" tab? Just for good server in development?



I dont know much about the other 2 playerworlds, but i do know that majority of their playercounts are staff.

I believe a regretable suggestion of mine, although I guess it has its uses.

Maybe a better option for Hosted would be to pick a few servers in Developement that look promising, and put them on the Hosted tab for a period of time (maybe a couple of months) so it can be played, and reviewed for staff purposes and such, then after that time is up, pick another set....and if a PW becomes good enough in that amount of time to be moved up to the Classic tab, then it can be done?

I believe the whole purpose of the hosted tab was so that pw's that held promise could be viewed, but I don't think pw's that hold promise are being put there because of strict guidelines or something.
Maybe the guidelines need to become less-strict on hosted to let pw's have a chance to be viewed for a period of time.
There are quite a few pw's out there that hold promise...

I just think there should be more pw's on the hosted tab then are currently there.

I dont think the hosted tab should be the footstep to the classic tab, that is also what is holding a lot of servers back. As most players dont even have an Active Gold/VIP Account, getting your server on the hosted tab shoud not be something you aspire to do.

Your server is quite visible no matter if its on hosted or if its hidden, the only diffrence is if its on the hosted, people see it faster, dosent mean they will log on any more then before though.

I'd say Anzell but don't think so anymore.

You don't have to go to Hosted before Classic, I assume.

Yeah, I have no plans on releasing Mana Realms as hosted.

I wont release it to the public til its done, and ready for Classic. I will be hefty pissed if they say I have to go to hosted for a while before I go to classic.

Some posts don't give postcount++, in the NGRT I think.

Zodiac should go classic!

Babylon should go hosted. It's under heavy development but the old overworld is even Classic worthy.

Dark Rival for hosted, actually, we're being inspected right Malinko? (He's one of the first PWAs on the scene, and the most active on DR, not that I'm saying anything for the others) ;), although I don't think we're classic ready yet. (Although some of our players/staff say we are, but I want to add some stuff first ;) )

I've putzed around on Zodiac myself, and I'd have to say it atleast has potential to be fun. Not sure if its ready for classic as I havent been there for a while.

Yeah, Dark Rival shows potential. Even I agree with you there. I'm going to have to say Myrrodin though. Supposed to be inspected soon if you guys would actually show up again since we fixed that bug. And even found the cause.

Myrrodin isn't bad either :) I don't like the outside levels much, they lack detail ad don't seem to fit in much. However, I like the systems, the custom gfx, and the indoor levels aren't bad. Although, I did lag there a bit, and the message thing at the bottom filled up once. Other than that, it's okay. :cool:

Well, I guess Hosted tab is for showing content and just to attract new staff to help develop new content. That's one of the major things to me.

So if there is good staff in the private list, then it's good to go to Classic, there's no need to go Hosted.

Edit: Moonie's idea is cool. Though, one problem would be that some people have cool worlds with potential, but don't want people to see it till it's done complete. So it's kind of bad to just put people on Hosted, unless it's wanted.

So simply warn the people they're going to be on the hosted tab ahead of time. If they object, then they dont go up. Just say "Hey, you're going to be hosted next month, that cool with you?"

Then again, some people go to Hosted then don't feel like working because their world can be seen somewhat due to Gold and/or VIP players. Then most feel like since they have done enough to be seen as Hosted, then they can take more time to develop, I guess.

Well, obviously if they don't wish to go hosted, they shouldn't have to...just those who want it.

If they get put on hosted, and people see they arent gonna bother working on it, it only makes that PW look bad, and will make people not want to play on it...they will only be hurting themselves, and it will weed out the ones who are serious about making a good PW, from those who are not.

I like the idea, but what happens to the servers that are on the hosted, and are near classic quality? Would they stay there permanently, or take a step down? And the rotations would take a while, eventually, people may not even check the hosted tab as much, they might just type in the server's name. I like the idea, but there would have to be more to it, like 'regulars' on the hosted tab, for the ones that passed inspection to get there, as well as featured servers, the ones up there for a week for advertising. It's a nice idea ^^

I support Exodus and Shangri-La

shangri-la has all the useless crap noobs love, so we should go hosted :p
i finished R4R(R2R clone), Hats system, and i'mright in the middle of working on pets (bout 60% done)
we have great GFXs, fun vehicles. and uhh...alot ofother useless crap :D

I'm back on Shangri-La as manager btw and we're getting some real good staff.
We switched to GS2 so if you log on, some things might be a little buggy.

Thanks for ur vote.
We are working on our GMap right now and improving our tileset.
Still a TON of development is needed on Eden like more Graphicers, because Angelu can't GFX everything, for example, trees, baddies or custom Bodies.
I hope I can get the correct Staff helping out so we can attract ppl for a NEW kind of GServer on Graal.

Wow I think the word hosted on graal shouldnt exist because it is pretty much pointless all they need to do is to add it to classic.
