I'm bad at small spaces.
I keep bouncing.
Any suggestions?

Kaimetsu 07-02-2001 10:31 PM

This interests me... Graal only works to a constant 20fps, so how can it get 15.2748234 seconds or whatever? I wonder...

Fai 07-02-2001 10:42 PM

I got 24 seconds, beat that haha.

The npcserver calculates the time,
the scripts only run all 0.1 seconds,
everything else is 'randomly'. But that
higher resolution is good for the records
because when two people are crossing
the line at the 'same' time it will still
show some difference because the player
who has sent the position as first will
also have a lower time and so will win,
otherwise both players would have the
same time and we would need some system
of two winners or so :-)

The timer resolution is internally 0.000001 seconds
or so

Also someone try to beat my gully 2 record :-)

Hmm, I can see why it's needed but it must be annoying if somebody crosses the line one the same frame as someone else, but then gets told he's behind them.

One suggestion: Interpolate a time based on how far over the line the player is when they cross it. That'd be a little fairer.

How much do you want to bet some staff member with an RC will just warpto and nab the 500 gralats? I'll give it 3 days before that happens.
