Every Journey

1 Attachment(s)
Every Journey begins with a step,
Every story continues by flipping the page:
The time will soon come to Journey back to the Old Lands,
And the story must be told.

To explain:
The world famous investigator Arun Hatties has been hired by the enigmatic Client to explore and report on the world after the Cataclysm. After his sudden dissappearance, his Journals have been copied and disseminated to the New Land and beyond. The secrets of the seventy year period after the Exodus to the New World are contained within these volumes, and their pages will be routinely delivered here.

Edit:
I'd just like to give credit where credit is due. The paper is a Galdor creation.

Honestly some of the best times I had on 2k1 was as an Orc... too bad no one else is around anymore :(.

As for all of this, I like what I see. Keep it up Gryff and other staff.

The third page,
A beast revealed.
Who will carry his burden
And who will stir the cauldron,
Boiling over with youth,
Death, ambition?

A fallen home,
A stolen city;
Who will breathe
In the sacred mecca
When the stones rot away
And the soul withers,
Entombed in malevolvent mortar?

You can't say that if he's only saying two holidays have nothing to do with each other. It's the truth, Snowflake Day is a non-denominational holiday, even if it is on a show. Just look for the link I posted on the forums about Snowflake Day and you'll see what we mean.

A brief history of Christmas:

Long ago, some people with the most decent of intentions decided that the pagans needed to be converted or suffer the infernal tortures of Hell's grim tyrant. To that end, they co-opted the pagan holiday of Yule, celebrates on the Winter Solstice (December 21-23). This holiday celebrated the rebirth of the God, represented by sunlight growing longer from every day onward. Not knowing accuratly the actual date of the birth of their supposed Savior, these decently intentioned men decided that December would be close enough. They told the pagans to squint their eyes just so and see a miracle baby instead of Hyperion incarnate.

Christmas itself as a holiday, including all the trappings of Saint Nicholas and the picturesque ideals of a white Christmas, came into exsistance largely thanks to a vogue started by department stores in the early 20th century.

Seems to show the popularity of your ideas :whatever:

DarkHero 12-13-2005 01:24 PM

its so confusing... lol

Zxion 12-14-2005 07:26 AM

Well, I've seen hints at new quests, new towns, new locations (i.e. Antiquah temple, etc.), new jobs which also brings new types of npcs (insects), new materials (glass from the sands of the volcanic island in the Southern Sea for example), the possiblity of magic existing, and the possibility of sanctioned RPing (meaning staff helps the players in terms of roleplaying, see that things actually happen).

Now see that wasn't that hard was it? Wonder how many people actually read these things.
