Accounts-queue wiped

The accounts queue (holds accounts which people want to create but never send back an email) which contained more than 300 thousand entries has been wiped so that many account names which were blocked before can be used now.

Excellent. Now to wipe the other 600 thousand trial acccounts that have been used once in 2001 :)

Malinko 09-22-2005 02:03 AM

Gg.

Mykel 09-22-2005 11:06 AM

300,000? Holy Christ.

Rick 09-22-2005 11:14 AM

Too bad you're limited to minimum 5 characters. :P

nikomi946 09-22-2005 05:41 PM

No offense but there wouldn't have been as many there waiting for a response email if we had ever got an email to respond to in the first place. Then when one goes to support to find out why they are getting no response, they get no response. A vicious circle.

Says someone with 4 characters in the account name ;)
It is possible to contact an admin (support center) to create shorter account names if its really about life and death.

Thats hillarious...
You should have the queue cleared every month, or the acct names after no response for 48 hours. Would that be better?
And, can spaces be used in acct names? I believe the first time I tried it a few years ago it didn't work...

Googi 09-23-2005 02:19 AM

This wouldn't be a problem if everyone picked a good name on their first try.

I've seen account names with spaces in them, so I am thinking that you can.

refer to: In the past you could not create account names with spaces.

Also Ask: Zero Hour, did you create yours, or have an admin create yours for you?

Back in the day you had to have an account admin (<3 lyndzey) create an account with a space in it.

That would be lovely down with the trials, Really now space consuming and less annoying. ^^

I suppose it's better this way to allow more user names for other members. :\

MKxTortoise 09-25-2005 03:55 PM

and my bsc account doubles in value!

TB3 09-26-2005 05:13 PM

Account names with spaces in them are mean. You have to do " "'s around them when using chat tokens in many scripts.
>_< It confuses people sometimes lol.

It should do this yes, a previous bug had resulted in a collection of a lot of 100,000's of names though >_<
