RC version for Mac

I don't understand why the OSX version of Graal is the only one that doesn't have an RC. Are we waiting until v4 comes out? If not, I vouch this as a good recommendation

There is a (quite bugged) test version posted in the Mac 3.15 thread in the main forum. There will be a new version sometime later this year I guess, cannot say when exactly yet.

Why are you using GTK for it? Why not use something like AppleScript?

Hey, what about making like a fully editable RC? Where we can edit pretty much everything from images, to order, to sounds, to sorting etc..

Aswell as rights?

If you don't like the scripted RC, you can rescript it.

The point is that there's already support for what you want, in a form that would be acceptable to most people.

A lot of the RC doesn't work. I've added several fixes, but I can't use a messed up version just for a player rc.

Alright. Heres one:

When you go in a diff lvl, the x-y moves u around a bit. Like 1 x to the left or right. and 1 y up/down.

I asked what doesn't work with the Client-RC...x_X

KuJi 05-21-2005 05:17 PM

I said I don't like to use the RC because the graal client is extremely messed which was the main purpose of my post for a new outside-of-graal RC.

Nitro2030ce 05-21-2005 10:29 PM

Why not build a version of the Linux RC to windows and mac?

Because the Windows RC is fine, and Linux and Mac OS are not the same. Some things would likely have to be changed.
Porting is not that simple.

Then fix your computer. I do not find such problems with Graal 3.
Besides, if you perhaps reported such bugs...

What is your point? Just report the bugs.

Graal4 is using a lot of the Graal3 stuff. If you report bugs for Graal3, you will possibly help Graal4.

KuJi 05-23-2005 12:15 AM

Then why are they making an entirely new version (as in v4) instead of fixing it for v3.

Gambet 05-23-2005 12:19 AM

Because they are taking some parts of v3, fixing it, and then adding newer parts for v4. It's not the same as just fixing whats already out. They are fixing and adding, thus v4.

Because it is combining the best from v2 with the good stuff from v3, along with some great new features. A new version number signifies that major changes were made. v3 wasn't totally scrapped, it just had a short lifespan, and some bugs that remained in it are being fixed in v4. v4 isn't a complete recode.
