Elemental Kingdoms suggestion thread
 

Ok, I am trying to make EK more playerfriendly and such, so post any suiggestions you have to make it better, other than the following:

1. Please don't say "delete it to make it better" or anything like that

2. Don't ask me to add a level system, I have the EXP and power systems explained elsewhere in the forums.

3. Please try not to make your suggestions like "The graphix suck make them better", I am asking for CONSTRUCTIVE criticism/ideas.

Make the sword system better. I swing the sword once and get a *failed* message, then the sword doesn't work ever again.

Document how to start off in some way, I will be using the start island on my server to start the players off with the basics, then they can go to the main island with some knowledge. You should try making a tutorial level or have a sign telling the player where to go to get certain items.

Make things more interactive. From when I had RC, you had a simple preset string for kingdom sizes and percents. Make it more interactive! Maybe when the player starts off, a server strings adds a number to their selected kingdom member count and then something calculates percentages?

I have been working on that bug, but am unsure what's wrong with it. The failed part is normal, but it should still be usable. Do you mean you cant do anything with it or you keep failing? If it's the latter then you just have low EXP. If not then perhaps sometime you could help me make the swords into a class liek you have? It would help a lot.

Yes i suppose a tutorial level would be good..... I do have a *system item that actually helps by telling you the basics but everyone thinks that that's what we use for client commands XD.

Quite honestly, the kindom stuff won't be implemented until we are almost ready for classic (a long time), and wa splanning on doing something like this. There will also be ways to join each kingdom's army, spy group, or arcane army, and then do war actions, but I won't get into that right now.

Thats cause usually systems dont have help. Make a help sign or something.

Well would you be willing? to help convert the swords into a class? After that everything would be a lot easier to fix.

I'll probably make a starting quest or the like, but it may take a little while because my HW has been a lot lately :-/.

I suppose, but there are more important things to work on now, and the kingdom thign wil ltake a lot of time and effort that could go into things that would be mor ehelpful; at the time.

Make all the levels Grass and then make a money giving NPC along with NPCs and your fine.

I hate, hate, HATE graal's defualt menu system ESPCIALLY when a playerworld uses it with 234807234 npcws!
Make a menu system then you will get some decency of my eyes and mouse looking at the server.

I made one, but it was only one weapon at a time. The images are all different sizes so it's hard to make a more organized one with multiple weapons in an area. Plus I never did like making menus.

Then hire someone like me that specializes in that.
Also ALWAYS make your icons 32x32

1. I do not wish to work on your server as I only work on ones that I view have a promise and intrest me.
2. I am not immature such that I would delete everything... My vision of your maturity just droped because you even thought that.
3. You should know not to give enough rights to people so that they could do that and you should also back everything up weekly.

I wouldn't know that, there are several people who would. Maturity can be looke dat several ways, or as a composition of all the ways, and i personally find you immature as well.

I obviously was exaggerating, I actually have a couple methods to prevent deletion, only my most trusted staff has rw access to levels folde,r everyone else pouts it in folders that have files redirected to levels, plus i backup at least weekly.
Don't base someone's maturity off of internet slang. I use AIM so much that whenever i use a typed message i tend to use lol, and other such things. You are basically the immature one for basing it off of that.

It really humors me when little kids try to teach people older then them things that they had already learned way earlier in life...
As for my maturity. I attend one of the top thrre highschools in the whole US and I have about 10 hours of classes everyday with about 4 hours of homework. It is really hard to be immature and stay in this school. Maturity is not only a level of how you act but also your level of responibility and I can see from your work that you are not very responcible. (Including that fact that you argue with EVERY LITTLE THING)

That doesn't seem like a convincing argument. It seems more like an opportunity to brag about your pseudo-school.

Maturity and responsibility being seen as the same thing would be a very narrow look at what maturity is. I like to think of maturity as a combination of: Age you Act, responisibility, morals, and overall actions (hard to explain what i mean by this better, sorry). I have no proof that you goto said school, and i doubt you have tangible proof either. Based on what I said, and what I've seen from you, you don't seem to be a very mature person in my opinion (Slash if you are thinking of calling me a hypocrite for this, I know Zokemon better than you know me, and I based my opinion on something better). Since I have no evidence of your responsibility however, I can't be sure of your overall maturity however.

By saying hardly, which means barely, you are admitting that it is a pseudo school, from a technical viewpoint, though I know what you mean. Kai is obviously better educated than you and seems to have some good morals, despite his tendency to overargue. Also, for all we know you could be doign bad in that school which won't get you itno college. Even if you do go to such a school, that means little.

Quite the hypocrite aren't we? Degrading a server is indirectly degrading the owner, obviously, and all you do is say "Ek sucks". A GPA of 3.0 isnt anything special, so it basically only filters out complete *****s.

Are you in highschool even? Public school grades ALOT easier. If you miss a single assignment here, you are ****ed.

Yes, im a sophmore. I geuss i wouldn't know how private school grades, I'll admit, but still, a B average isn't anything to brag about, is what I am saying.

I took trig in my freshman year so I stoped with math.
Other then that, I am taking:
American Lit, US History, Drafting, Design, Theater History, Stage Management and Company.
As you can see I have 2 academic classes and 5 theater classes.
I got done with the required stuff early.
