Kingdom Bonus Ideas
 
I had some ideas for kingdom bonuses a while back and Stefan told me to post them etc. Comments?

Dustari-Horses 30% faster. Lances do 20% more damage. Normal swords do
15% more damage to humans, Sword and Shield Style +10% damage,

Samurai-Crops are grown twice as fast. Nagnitas are swung 20% faster, sword only style +10% damage, bow damage +10% while on horses.

Crescent Pirates- CP Ships are twice as strong and 150% (1.5) faster, Scimitar/Sabre/Rapier damage +20%, Cannon Damage +35%.

Forest-Trees grow twice as fast (Can be added up with other catalysts). Houses take 20% less material to be built. Bows do 30% more damage, Rapier/Dagger Damage +10%, 5% chance of taking 0 damage (evade).

Zormites-Swim speed +2. Weapons do 30% more damage to fire based monsters. Food is very slowly regenerated while in water. (For example, +10 food every 10 seconds), Spear/Harpoon Damage +10%, fishing pole accuracy +20%.

Horse ideas-

Horses should have wearable armor, decorations, and different horse shoes for different bonuses.

Players should be able to attack from horses with swords and lances. Jousting should also be implemented.

Sounds real nice. I'm not sure about Forest's bonuses though, since trees take no time to grow anyway, and houses aren't that important. They should have better bow damage or something.
And the zormite one's good except for the lack of monster types on gk =/

And about the farming thing, well, kingdom farming should have a system of its very own as far as i'm concerned =x

Yes, the gathering of resources should be altered a lot. It should
A) be of more importance to kingdoms
B) more clear
With B, I mean that if you go to, for example, Samurai, and there's this rice field, there'd be NPC workers. They'll say something like 'If you want to buy our rice, pay x platinum coins'. Then the state treasure will be a little lighter, and the state rice supply a bit heavier. Now, enemy kingdoms may destroy this, then you need to invest to re-build it again, but the workers'll know which kingdom did it. The state rice supply will be used to feed city guards etc. This way Warfare can be more advanced and running a kingdom will be a more imortant job.

60% on bows is a bit too high, i think x_x make it the same % as dustari with swords.
And i like the regeneration in water idea, although it should either replace the water being+50 food, or they should both be dulled down a bit so that it's like 2 food every 10 seconds and +10-20 food for water. :D

Im a Youjutsusha in Kurenia Joukia and well, I like the twice as fast thing but cant you use song of growing instead, I like the naginta thing but shouldnt they be better in speed? Samuria is the ninja kingdom, and ninjas are fast and sneaky.

I think anything over 20% is a little too much...

Dustari - Sword and Shield Style +10% damage, Lance damage +20%, Horse speed +2, Enabled Defender with Shields over 30kg

Counterattack - Hit D right when an enemy is about to hit you to take no damage and attack at the same time... must be facing the right direction

Leap Attack - Ability to leap into action and attack... hold S and press/hold A for different distances.

All four of these things drain some hunger points.

Harpoons - Spears that can be used while in water... can fish with them and attack sea monsters.

Rapiers - Lightweight swords that are meant to be used without a shield. Swings are faster and more elegant. The hold S and back attack is a Dodge move that negates attacks, but requires good timing.

Yeah, nice ed, except for the zormite one...harpoons and spears are -useless- other than they look way cool :)

Samuria is the ninja kingdom like england is the jungle kingdom...

I don't like the fact that battling is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ooooooooooo important. If I had designed the game.. fighting would be the last thing you would do :/ If only the server time could be turned back to before alchemy bugs and before event items so there wouldn't be any strong weapons..

i like ed's ideas, if they are added, this server would be so much more fun! Maybe everyone should be able to the abilities, but kingdoms would have a bonus, you would need to learn jump for the leapattck though.

sounds like a lot of fun... and it would FINALLY would make kingdoms more unique...

Well... the idea behind Kingdom bonuses is really for wars... Like as the Dustarian Cavalry heads in... Forest's Elite Sniper Squad takes to the trees and shoots the lancers off their horses and they engage melee combat... the Dustarians take a defensive strategy to prevent the swift blades from being effective... blah blah... the Pirates close in on Zormite shores... then the Zormites come out of the water too close to the ship to be hit by cannonballs and throw harpoons at the pirates on deck and the ship... etc etc.
Magic is fading in its usefulness... with the technological advancement of the cannon... the path of magic just seems like too much work... only practical uses of magic are used now-a-days.

This'd usually be the point where satrek chips in with "Forts" and goes on to say how magic could be used to charge an anti-magic barrier around the forts.

I find this subject intriguing. A bonus on people who are in kingdoms and perhaps tag activated, like ac/wc , regeneration +1 , grace regen +1 , I haven't thought this out but sort of like praying to a certain god .
