Ithica Complete!
 

Chapters 1-2 are done. All the script works. I'd like to thank all those who helped, Tseng, Stefan, Slikrick, Project, and anyone I missed. I'd like to stick my tongue out at all who just had negative remarks.

Currently we are adding in a few more mini games, making the towns bigger, and exhancing the look of each zone. Also enjoy the no pk weapon! You can't be pked. The best part is if someone tries to avoid it, they are the only ones who can be pked. You are still safe!

Chapter 3 will be released possibly next week. I'd also like to thank all who applied and put in the extra hours.

So it will all be online and playable?

I agree.

I got on and played it this morning. Graphics suck. Levels are terrible. Nothing but a bunch of crap levels with a bunch of baddies places on them. Within 10 minutes I got a level 2 sword (axe), power gloves, and a bunch of other junk that didn't even go into my inventory.

Everything is just a big maze. You go one way and there is only one direction you can actually go. There is no free roaming, there is always something blocking all the other paths, so you basically just follow the path, killing a bunch of baddies, talking to people that do nothing, and reading useless signs, until you reach the end, then you have to turn around and go back, or unstick me, or whatever.

I won't be going back on that server. Sorry. :(

When he said chapters, I suppose it has a storyline or something..maybe they were going for a linear-style gameplay? I guess I'll see what it's all about in a little while..

Lastly, here is probably the best level they have. Sad, isn't it? I have to agree, this server looks like crap. I'm sorry, but if you guys don't make some major changes, this won't be the least bit successful.

This guy sorta scared me..especially when you swam through the cliff and onto land :megaeek:

I've wandered around pointlessly for two minutes and all of it was pretty bad..this wouldn't have been allowed up when the standards weren't that high...Sorry guys, but you need some serious lat action going on..

I'm pretty sure those clouds are from the snes game DBZ: The Legend of Goku. It looks like it was ripped using an emulator from the ROM.

Shame shame shame...ripped graphics...especially the bunny guy...directly from zelda 3.

Whoever made those levels should get some glasses or some ****.

k so we've established the server isnt worth playing. don't think we need another 2 pages of this x_x

Im my opinion, it looks a LOT better than Graal3000.
Plus, they did something original which I can't say
about a lot of the other playerworlds.

Guys, constructive criticism is fine but don't turn this into a hate thread. If you have specific suggestions or areas of concern then feel free to voice them, but don't post just to say that it sucks.

We all know that already ;D

I was sure someone would say this, I can't so you're wrong, since it's an opinion, but I can always argue. ;) I don't find interest in their levels either, but hey, maybe it's their style? Every server has it. Here's some example:
Unholy Nation - Average levels, tons of PKing and useless NPCs.
Delteria - Over-detailed levels and a roleplay feel.
Shaded Legend - Amazing levels, graphics, and NPCs, little player attraction somehow.

Maybe Ithica's style is "Simple, unclean levels with on overmap look?"

Dude, a monkey using a computer can make more detailed and interesting levels than that. That isn't "style", that's not knowing what the hell you are doing.

LOLOLOL, I said the same thing, and the owner was like "Walk beyond the first few zones before you judge a server" I was like LOLOLOL! First few zones? haha, I could even get past a few warp tiles....
